Status update on injuries & who is going to scuffle

Can’t catch a break at 125
So, Cabanban tore ligaments in his foot but beat Penn State anyway.

Nothing said about Bastida.

A bit of a surprise that Redding is back down to 133.

I thought Gaitan was at his limit for attached matches.

Is anyone going to Midlands?

The RS rule is very confusing. Can he wrestle unattached now that it is second semester?

At Scuffle they HAVE TO wrestle attached. No unattached.

Also interesting that Gaitan is wrestling 174. I thought perhaps he would drop back to 165 to see how he stacks up.

It was strange and I forgot to ask but when I was leaving Yonger was doing drills just like normal and had no braces on so I’ll take a guess that he’s being rested just like the others? If I’m wrong I apologize. That’s just my guess on what I saw when leaving. But I’ll ask!

Honestly glad we are getting some rest for a lot of our guys. Hope we have a full (as full as we can) lineup for ASU dual.

I really like Perryman a lot. He needs another year in the room to improve and to get a little bigger but I think he has great potential for us at 125. He is more in the mold of how our coaches want guys to wrestle and have their mentality towards wrestling.

So David and Marcus can’t wrestle because they’re too old? Lol

Dresser says, "I don't hold my cards usually." Nice little jab at Brands right at the end of the video clip.

I have a different take on all of this. I didn't watch Dresser's video so this take may be off right away. But I read the other responses. We have injuries at weights at 125, 141, and heavyweight, and maybe Bastida and Johnson. But a healthy Coleman and Carr aren't wrestling. Why? Didn't we commit to the organizers, fans, and other teams to this event? I would think the commitment would mean we would send our best team, barring injuries, with the intent to win.

I know other teams do this too, treating these holiday tournaments as exhibitions with partial squads, but doesn't make it right either.
