13-day gap between non-con and conference play... This is incompetence by our administrators, completely unacceptable.

Concerns for injury, lack of rhythm having 2 weeks off from games, and adding another win to your tournament resume come to mind first and foremost.

If we miss the tournament by having only 17 wins instead of 18. This will be the reason.

Wow this is a hot take. Disappointing sure. But also extra rest for the players to ease the aches and pains, good for their mental health knowing the school put them seeing family and friends over the holidays over a couple of ball games. The men's game was going to be a coast anyway probably. The women on the other hand would have been a real ball game more than likely.
I'm disappointed in the cancelation but get a grip.

This looks like a hella storm. It's supposed to hit us here (southern MO) Thurs., dropping from 28 to 10 degrees from 10-11 AM, while snowing. Much colder (and more snow) from there, getting down to -9 on Friday, with wind chill -35. That's very cold for us. A Thurs - Sat event here.

Southern TX will get cold and snow also. Poor babies.

The game itself won't matter, but it clearly points to some developing problems in the AD:
1. JP clearly isn't getting any better at controlling the weather.
2. Acting like players have a life beyond our amusement and can have an extra family day or safety day is a dangerous precedent that can only lead to a lifetime sense of entitlement, and others may start to think they deserve that, too.

There is a massive, massive difference between guys that work even low major DI and guys that work lower levels. You'd notice immediately.

St Bonnies can get on a flight and go East after tomorrow's game and probably not much of the storm. Personally I think UNI's even pushing it trying to get the game in.

And Drake plays tonight, so yea. The only thing that could've worked is move the game up in the afternoon tomorrow but we don't know Omaha's schedule either and even so, they'd be driving directly into the winter monstrosity on the way home.

JFC, the schools make a decision to cancel a meaningless game that's in the best interest of the players and some are acting like it's the end of the world. It's going to be ok. If you need something to hold onto to make it in the interest of your fandom we've got some guys banged up that could use the rest, so take solace in that.

Drake was able to re-schedule. How is a school with 10 times the budget not able to re-schedule?

We just got a potentially team-changing addition eligible and now he will have 1 game of experience in 2 years before we take on the best conference in the country...

Im not upset, I'm just wondering why Drake can figure it out against a team from upstate New York but we can't figure out something against a local team?
