ISM is on the practice squad on which they already had room. With Clark being suspended, they have an open slot for the next 2+ weeks. After that, who knows.
Markus Kemp was active at WR recently so I’m guessing more likely he gets moved to practice squad
I’m just repeating what they said on the sports radio discussion yesterday. Hopefully it’s all good.
They looked good against SF but I'm not convinced they can play that well every week. They need a guy who can go up and get the ball 20-30 yards down the field. I think they need a playmaker in the secondary more than anything on D.
They do have the top offense in the NFL on the season. They have been consistently good. But the 49ers game was ranked one of the Top 10 offensive games in the NFL for the past 5 years (factoring in the defense they faced). That’s how well the Chiefs played, so yeah they certainly can’t do that every week.
They are good. I just think we need something to make sure we can beat the Bills. I think we are no worse than the 3rd best team in the NFL now.
I feel like Chiefs are actively trying to not Dayton Moore themselves.

They are going to need to maintain it like the Patriots did in their dynasty era with Brady. Trade off pieces before they get too expensive and pile up draft picks to reload with cheaper young talent. That is the only way you can do it when your payroll is strapped with some big contracts. So far they have been drafting well lately. Fenton was expendable with McDuffie, Williams, and Watson all looking like they will be impact players at CB.
idk. I am having a difficult time understanding the Fenton trade. They restructured Kelce and traded Fenton to clear up cap space. I just hoped there was a DL move coming for all of that, and so far, nothing.
Fenton started 16 games and was a good CB. With the prospect of potential injuries, not sure that holding him as a quality backup for the remainder of the year might not have been the better move. 7th round draft choice is basically giving him away for free.
Led the team in defensive flags and was constantly overmatched. Even when he was committing DPI, the WR still made the catch half the time. Was starting to become the next Dan Sorenson for getting burned. He was serviceable, but expendable. Plus they'll have a roster crunch when Clark returns from suspension. Better to get something for him, even if it is a super late pick.
Oh my don't remind me of how bad Sorenson was. I was just starting to forget about him! Chiefs are finally starting to find some decent guys that can cover in the secondary lately so I agree Fenton was replaceable. It was only a few years ago we had to deal with guys just like Fenton who could not cover and committed PI all the time like Kendall Fuller, Steven Nelson, Scandrick, Ward, etc in 2018 where it felt like the Chiefs best defense was to score 40-50 every game. Was so frustrating that felt like the Chiefs were just giving teams first downs and favorable goal line situations because they would have defensive holding or PI on key plays because their corners could not cover anyone.
