That's a good breakdown. Venables is an ace of a defensive coach, and Manning was outclassed all game.

I think the big knock on Myers though is that the O line has gotten worse throughout the season. It also looks like it's a cluster where on multiple plays (according to Bruns) Simmons and Downing were just not blocking guys, look disinterested, and had the wrong assignment/technique. Not good.

I'm intrigued for Jake Remsburg RT next year. He was a stud in 2020 and a big piece in the Fiesta Bowl game. He doesn't look in game shape right now and is out of sorts. I think he can have a big bounceback because we have seen him play really well in the past.

There was a play Saturday where Remsberg didn't even touch a DE who got a TFL. Just turned and watched him go by.

He’s in basketball game threads as well when things are bad, if I remember right. Gets old. Self proclaims he’s waiting to say anything when good things happen.
I am of the opinion he is a ****-stirring Hok troll. He's always a mile and a half past the most pessimistic view, calling to fire everyone, just generally being the worst kind of "fan". I think he's a mole.

Has Bruns ever given a opinion on whether or not Myers is the right guy for the job?

He seems like the guy who sits in the row ahead of me

Every interview I've seen with Myers..... I've never been impressed at all.

Yeah sure. Only showing up when things are bad is troll 101 identification.
Yeah dude, sorry for offering my opinion on a Cyclone fan forum. I guess my degree from ISU doesn't count, or my many years of season tickets and requisite donation don't as well.

I rarely post in basketball in-game threads.

TJ wasn't my first choice to replace Prohm, but I am beyond thrilled with his performance.

Last year was an amazing job of coaching by TJ, about the best you can expect at ISU. Very similar to 2017 and 2018 CMC in football.

Tell him he better get sweet sixteens every year or goodbye!

Replacing Campbell isn't the solution. Campbell making changes to a few coaches is the solution. Campbell not doing that with same results next year .... then forget what I said in first sentence.
Which is why I am doing what I am doing.

If CMC does NOT have a different offensive coordinator next season, then he almost certainly will not have a different offensive philosophy or gameplan either. I predict he thinks he doesn't have to heed pressure from the ISU fanbase.

Which means your second sentence will almost certainly come into play.

I want CMC to do the right thing, fire Manning now. Today. If not then, the day our season ends.

If he doesn't, it shows how stubborn he is. And he'll just double down on the idiocy we've seen last year and this one, but pretend a healthy Brock will make all the difference. Except, it won't.

TJ gets a long leash from me. He had the second most successful hoops season in ISU history, and did it by recognizing what he had, and finding a system that would result in wins. Amazing job.

Glad you were wrong about TJ, guess we’ll see if you are about Campbell.

There’s no reason to fire him now. He’s going to help him find a new job.

TJ had a great season and BY FAR the best season based on expectations. But in no way was it the second most successful hoops season in Iowa State history.

Sweet Sixteen run is only bested by Eustachy's Elite Eight one.

TJ doing that with that roster was insane.

McDermott had two NBA draftees on the same team and didn't make the tourney one year.
