***2026 Minnesota Vikings***

Starting to wonder if there are any defensive guys on expiring contracts playing for bad teams that might be trade targets. The Vikings are squarely in the mix right now but it doesn’t seem like the defense is good enough. 1 or 2 additions for a draft pick could be smart but I haven’t looked into who might be available.

Thankfully the NFC North is trash as the Packers don’t look good whatsoever. Vikings probably end up winning the North, but lose first round of playoffs.

If it happens, it happens. I'm under no illusions that this is a super bowl team. But there's no denying that they're finding ways to win games that they would have lost last year. Cousins hasn't been perfect, but he's been nails late in games. I'm just going to enjoy the ride.
I've noticed the last 2 games or so the offense is beginning to find ways to get people involved who are not named Jefferson or Cook. That's a sizable step forward that will continue to grow and help them.

I'm not convinced the defense has the guys they need to run the scheme they desire. Not good overall thus far. Just enough defense to put the game on the offense for a game-winning drive to take the lead back, it feels like.

I agree. I don't think they do have the guys on defense. I think they can get better, but I don't think it can be better than average this season. Hopefully, they'll have some improvement as the season progresses. Staying healthy will have a lot to do with that.

Patrick Peterson was not on the field during Chicago's final drive resulting in Dantzler's strip. I think they are finally realizing that he is just too slow now.

One of the lasting failures of the Zimmer regime is the career of Daniel Carlson, who has now made 36 straight field goals and is one of the better kickers in the league. Reactionary coaching move to cut him shortly into his rookie season.

Minnesota needs to add a CB desperately. I’m keeping an eye tonight on Rock Ya-Sin, who’s in the final year of a rookie contract for the Raiders. And if KC wins the game, Vegas will be 1-4 and maybe more motivated to move a guy midseason who’s on an expiring contract in exchange for a draft pick.

Kicking streaks like that only make me think, if he were still a Viking, there's a Gary Anderson moment waiting to happen. But, to your point, it was a terrible decision to release him and I'm glad it didn't derail his confidence.

This is a very fake account and it’s 100% made up.
All I know is that ISM was the Vikings best friend against the Bears. He lost a fumble at the end of the game that allowed the Vikings to run out the clock and on Fields' long TD run, he was called for an illegal block that nullified the TD and led to a FG instead.
