I’m not saying sh$t about the coaching staff because I’m not there yet. I think the O-Line has some issues that show up in passing for the most part. How can you throw deep balls and double move routes when the protection is only good for a second. I think also the shallow crossing routes need to be taught better - 2-3 times today a receiver caught the ball but kept running sideways instead of turning up the field for 4-5 more yards, and some of those were on 3rd down plays. Young team still that has a lot more upside than down if stuff can get corrected. Sky isn’t falling unless your expectations were a bit high
If your expectation was to not lay a massive turd against a very bad KANSAS defense, then your expectations were correct.

Literally everything you stated points to coaching issues. Major ones.

Please don’t blame the players. They are trying their best.
Blame the coaching staff for not having these young men ready to play. We have way too much talent to have these results. Lack of special teams, questionable play calling. That’s on the coaches. Depending to much on a few main players, that’s on the coaches. Not being able to finish drives when we have a first and goal, that’s on the coaches.

What I hate is we finished like little boys, not men. When your day is going like that, you don’t go for the tie. Be a ******* man Matt. Accept defeat or go for the win. We lost and deserved it!

PS. In the process you mind-****** a young kid kicker.

The first one is on Gilbert, but by the third one its on the coaching. Felt bad for him at that point.

I mean, you need a reliable kicker to play in OT given so many times it comes down to kicking a FG to stay in the game or win it. Our best chance to win was winning in regulation.
Sad but true. Even more sad that a common fan like you can see it and not the man making the decisions

Losing Brock killed Dekkers some. Brock is a stellar blocker... Silas was useless in that regard.

Defense played an outstanding second half, only to be let down by the offense.

Dekkers has to learn how to throw the ball away, and also how to lead a receiver on a deep throw instead of throwing at or under them. Did that many times today.

It's been 6 years, Campbell. Get a new OL coach (and recruiter) and get a real, new ST coach. We're gonna lose a lot of games in the margins at this rate.

Heacock to Campbell: I think we’ll keep things in front of us and rally to the ball. Might give up some yards but it’s really hard for a college team to string together 15 plays without a mistake.

Campbell: I like that strategy.

Manning to Campbell: I think we’ll try to string together 15 play drives by running 2 yard crossing routes. I like our chances of not making a mistake.

Campbell: I like that strategy.

Bonamego to Campbell: cat lamp ball orange vroom vroom sandwich mitten

Campbell: I like that strategy.

What, once a loser always a loser?

Sure our expectations are high. The good and the bad come with the territory, right? Yes, CMC put us in the position to be disappointed in games like this.

And guess what.........we are.

Who cares what it was like in 1985 or under Jim Walden.

It was what......24 months ago we were in the CCG? I would like to think that wasn't an accident.

No one is calling for his dismissal. This just stunk today.

You think Gundy would have kicked for a tie ?
No. It’s also a bad look for the offense. What does it say to you, as an offensive player, that the coach puts more trust in a freshman kicker that has missed twice already, than for your group to get half a yard? I think he’s losing the locker room and culture.
