The Mississippi River Distilling Company is the bomb, CF is the fuse.

I like your tag line about the fuse.

You all missed out on the best, most angry, most fired up gathering of the pre-season.

A win in week 2 and eastern Iowa will melt down.

Go Cyclones!!!!

Curiosity piqued. Did a bunch of hawk trolls show up?

No, didn't see any Hok trolls. Saw plenty of pent-up energy of Cyclone fans who have to endure daily the burden of being around so many Hok fans. Lots of people taking posters mentioned how they were going to put them up at work so they were very visible to their Hok coworkers. And these folks really, really want the Cyclones to win in Week 2.

I want that win pretty bad. Last year was excruciating.

The crowd audibly cringed several times when the panel was talking about why Campbell hasn't yet beaten the Hoks.

What was their rationale?

I'd guess the same stuff that's been thrown out there:

--turnovers.
--bad in September (this includes B12 openers)
--NO turnovers for Iowa.

Low key feel like we have a chance because we have everything against us this year. No expectations, in Iowa sh*tty, eff it that sounds like a recipe for success to me

My biggest cringes came when Jeff Woody talked about how Campbell is still assessing players in real game situations early in the season and when Chris Williams said Campbell last year tried to "out-Iowa Iowa" (beat them with their own style of game).

The angst among the Cyclone fans in Eastern Iowa was palpable.

I think that’s the only reason I’m slightly optimistic about the game this year. Seems like that’s the sort of year we’d finally break through and win

It was fun to hear Ryan Burchett talk about having Cyclone gamewatches at Mississippi River Distilling because the fans who come are so grateful to have a place to cheer with other Cyclone fans. Everywhere else is bound to have Tavern Hoks present.

The 'out Iowa Iowa' thing is so weird and it's what gets teams in trouble.

Regardless, I checked out that game recently and ISU was there until they melted down.

I just feel for these Eastern Iowa Cyclone fans and want them to be able to scrub off the Hok stains on their part of the state.

From what I remember we were constantly losing the field position, and it felt like impending doom, and then the turnovers made that a reality.
If I recall correctly, a punter beat us. Because they had one and we didn't have one yet.

I worked for Ryan’s Dad out of high school for two summers. Great family from Harlan.
