I am just waiting for it all to click. No way to compete with the top of the league right now, but if we all of a sudden get some timely hitting and go on a massive run, I could see getting a playoff win.

Rocco said last night that Buxton has been probably playing a lot more hurt that what the team had really let on all year.
We'll probably see more of Celestino and Gordon in the field the rest of the way. Not much else they can do.
If the Twins fall back in the next couple of weeks, play some of the Triple A guys to get exposed to the bigs.
And figure out who you want play SS next year. Curious if they put Polanco back there in order to play Arraez at 2B. Miranda needs to be the full time 1B.

Their plan for SS will be Lewis, if he's ready. If not, then probably a stop gap.

You seem so dead set against Miranda at 3B because of his defense, but Polanco at SS was not good defense and Arraez at 2B is not great defense. If its just Miranda at 1B because Urshela is around, thats fine, though.

I don't think the Twins fall completely out of it, but if they do, it would be interesting to see some of the 40 man guys get look. Not sure how it plays with their years of club control, though (if any).

Maybe Balazovic, Enlow, Henriquez, Strotman get a look, especially if any of them could become 40 man casualties.

There are no position players on the 40 man already.

Could also see a couple guys who will get put on the 40 man called up potentially. I don't know who those are, though.

Would be surprised if Lewis is back before next year's all-star break. That's why I think Polanco may be the stop gap.
Not set against Miranda on anything. We already have Urshela, who I hope is there long term.

I like Gio. I really think he’ll be back. I think he has a team option for like 8 mil or something. He’s worth that.

My hunch is they will keep doing what they are doing this year with Urshela, Miranda and Arraez. I bet they go for a 1 year SS stop gap instead of Polanco.

You have to. You can’t for sure bet when Lewis will be back or bank completely on a guys production after his second reconstructive knee surgery.

Not much hope to get back to good health this year. Best case is that some combination of rest, rehab, or surgery will get him to full strength for next year. Worst case is that the issues are chronic and will continue to plague him for his career.

The Twins have not lost 4 in a row all year. They get Verlander tonight... They will get to 4 straight tonight.

Doesn't seem like Verlander is in his 20th season? He's still really good. Maybe he asked Roger Clemons how he did it, lol.
