How many wins in 2022?

I went with 8. There has not been as much hype from the coaches as last year (when I thought 9-10 wins). Nevertheless, there's been enough of it that I am holding the program to high expectations. Plus, lots of guys on the position awards lists. That has mean something, right?

New QB regardless of potential has my hopes lower than what reality might be. I'll go with 6 wins and hope to be blown away.

Manning does nothing the first 4 games every season and he is minus an NFL QB, TE, and RB. Our offense will be really weak in September. Then our schedule only gets tougher in October and November. 6 wins would be OK with me.

Best guess is 8, but that includes a (probably) mediocre bowl win.

Id be dissappointed under .500. But 7-5 would be fine.

Sure to be some ups and downs this year. Take your dramamine.

I went with 7. That's me buying into the development of our roster under Campbell. I look at the schedule and there are several "maybe's." I include Iowa, Baylor and Texas in that list. Iowa will have a stout defense, but an abysmal offense again. Eliminate mistakes and take advantage of what's given and I feel good on that one. Last year mistakes and field position killed us. Baylor was like ISU two years ago. They won by the skin of their teeth or as coach says, "in the margins." They could easily regress and be a 6-7 win team. Texas is always the possibly good team with all the recruits they get. They are also a team that has repeatedly failed over the past several years. Yes, it's our last trip to Austin but if this team is cruising along with only 1-2 loses at that point of the season I like the chances. I expect wins against SEMO, Ohio, KU, KSU, TTU, and WVU. TCU and OSU are toss ups.
