He’s a Duck bobo, he is desperate for a solution. Though ESPN could be pushing for this too.I hope Big 10 takes Oregon as I see Pac-12 doing all they can to stay together.

They all have proven, long-term ability to compete at that level. Why would they do it? What would they get - 200 million per year? That would be so damaging to many schools brands that they would never agree to do it. Some of those schools would become the new Rutgers of that league. Why would they jeopardize being on top when they are already in the top paying conferences?
There are 3 in the alliance….2…there are 2 in the alliance.I hope Big 10 takes Oregon as I see Pac-12 doing all they can to stay together.

And they can put Leftover League games on their other networks, regional networks, streaming services, and Wednesday, Thursday, Friday night games. If they would go to a Super League, there would be a lot of Leftover League teams with strong fan support, good facilities, etc. The Super League teams would get most of the 4- and 5-star athletes, but they do now.It allows the braodcasters to lock up the biggest brands and ensure ALL marquee matchups every week. Imagine if all 10 games they broadcast weekly had 6 million viewers, the ad revenue per game is fantastic.
It's a strong, committed alliance. There are 3 in the alliance….2…there are 2 in the alliance.
They so badly wanted to bring them to heel in the mighty BIG, they they devalued their own property. It’s unbelievable. Not talking about performance, but a brand. Nebraska fall in its brand is a huge Big 10 failure and is not due mainly to its performance. The big 10 basically hid one of their marquee programs for 12 years in a division that is awful.
Cool so put them in the east where they lose even more games? A schools independent performance is not the responsibility of the conference or is it the big 12’s fault that texas has been irrelevant for a decade? Not talking about performance, but a brand. So did Nebraska make the wrong choice in hindsight? They so badly wanted to bring them to heel in the mighty BIG, they they devalued their own property. It’s unbelievable.
People correlating Nebraska's fall to conference affiliation due to competition or loss of traditional recruiting grounds aren't paying attention. Their SoS going from the Big 12 to the Big 10 west is consistently lower. Their recruiting rankings haven't dropped off from their late days in the Big 12. Pelini won just as well in the Big 10 as he did the Big 12.Lot of things changed to allow for Nebraska’s fall. Just becuase a school is in a top position doesn’t mean they will stay there. Tenn football, Georgetown/Indiana basketball, etc. There is no rule that OSU and Bama have to remain dominant and NIL is already shifting things. Not that long ago Bama was like Nebraska is now, a shadow of former greatness.
The big 10 would make a ton more money in an Ohio State vs. nebby rivalry than playing Purdue or MSU. That would help nubby recruiting. The Big 12 taking away the NU and OU rivalry hurt both schools in recruiting and the Big 10 made things even worse for Nebby.Cool so put them in the east where they lose even more games? Nebraska's drop is directly related to their on field performance. If they were still winning 10 games a year and making themselves a fixture in the top 25 they would be getting plenty of exposure in the B1G. And that shouldn't have been a tough ask with the Charmin soft schedule they get in the B1G west. Nebraska has nobody to blame for where they are at but themselves. Not talking about performance, but a brand. If nebby stays, we have no conference realignment and their brand doesn't suffer. So did Nebraska make the wrong choice in hindsight?

So Nebraska staying in the Big 12 means no one else would have left? I find that hard to believe that Nebraska could hold that much power. If nebby stays, we have no conference realignment and their brand doesn't suffer.
Yes, they were always going to be second fiddle to those two, but if they were winning they could have been at that second tier with Penn State and Wisconsin. The media is always going to take time to blow a big winner from the chosen conference.I don’t think there is much air for anyone besides tOSU and Michigan at their current levels. Big West is a major major afterthought.
The money and security says they didn’t.So did Nebraska make the wrong choice in hindsight?
