No. Just stupid. People that propose these things don’t actually understand the process to get there. So they think the Big XII will vote to merge with the PAC and exclude 3 of the 8 schools with voting rights.

Not sure what mechanism they think will get them there, but that is the end result they see as the best outcome for them.So they think the Big XII will vote to merge with the PAC and exclude 3 of the 8 schools with voting rights.
Crunch Berries day was nothing short of magical.Cedar Rapids doesn't smell like corn.
Actually, IIRC, the Big Xii has *Trademarked Big 14 and Big 16 (perhaps in Roman numerals), so I would rebrand accordingly under that name to get rid of the negative Big Xii bashing of the past decade.
Haven't spent much time in Clinton the last 15-20 years, but the smell could get pretty bad.
Would always drive through CR on Hwy 30 during college when going between home and Ames. Could always tell where you were by the smell.
I only saw 1 post that said that. At least on the 247 board that has barely any activity beyond a few people. One guy thinks what you posted, One thinks we are all fly over schools and they should stay out west, and the rest have basically said they should join the Big 12.Arizona State board seems to be stuck on a merger that excludes ISU, Kansas, and Kansas state but includes all the new Big12 additions, Cal and Stanford.
Some obvious omissions but that’s actually one of the saner takes I’ve seen.![]()

Interesting take here. A couple things I would move around, Like I have a feeling a couple of those ACC schools might end up in the B1G but maybe not if they are pushing their value to the moon, and only taking those that match that.
I have a hard time leaving GaTech, Miami, and Pitt out though. And its interesting they left out Wazzu and dont even count them as notable.
Agree, only the western third of Colorado is interesting - the eastern two thirds is a dump or the equivalent of Kansas and Nebraska.
This is what we should do. I'm just not convinced yet that we have the stones to actually do it. A full merge with the remainder doesn't ruffle as many feathers as killing the conference and leaving the bottom feeders behind. To this point the B12 hasn't shown to have an aggressive bone in its body. Hell, the B1G, SEC, and possibly even the Pac have all been in a position to deliver a kill shot to another P5 conference and none have done it. How wild would it be if the B12 was actually the first to do it after the whole sports media has expected us to be the one that ends up dead for the last decade.Big 12 is not eliminating anyone to join with the PAC 12. Some PAC 12 teams will seek to join the Big 12. Not all PAC 12 teams will be taken. No Big 12 teams will seek to join the PAC 12. Colorado is likely scared right now. The teams they shivved will now be asked to extend them a lifeline.
Yeah, it's more like 2/3 mountainous and 1/3 Nebraska/Kansas West.I think you might need to take a look at a map. Half of the state is mountainous, and many of the ranges are spectacular.
That’s good. The 247 site is the only free board I can find for them. There are some oddly placed ISU related comments in a few strings. I don’t want to get in a pissing match with them on their board, just trying to see what they are thinking. My family has some skin in the game and are hoping for ASU to wind up in a good place.I only saw 1 post that said that. At least on the 247 board that has barely any activity beyond a few people. They have a few delusional fans out there, but in reality and from the video posted, just overall very few fans.
Sounds very plausible. Interesting to find out if NBC is fighting against or with ESPN on ND.
And here's the home crowd from UCLA:Last year's USC homecoming crowd. Vs. Arizona.

Pac12 wouldn’t throw the 8 a lifeline a year ago. Now, kill shot. Take the four discussed and hope for UO and UW. Eff those guys. Kill…shot….This is what we should do. SOMEDAY??Nothing beats the nice downtown view of a big ol landfill in Cedar Rapids. Hmmmmmmm garbage. Cedar Rapids will someday smell like that diaper genie in the garage in August that you haven't emptied in a week.

No way the conference would take Oregon St. over Miami, when you already have a team in Florida, it makes sense to take the Miami market just for recruiting. They bring a lot more to the conference that Oregon St ever will.![]()
