From what I’ve heard there’s a kid that played football at another big12 school who’s going to be on our basketball team this year as a walk-on
Hmmm. Maybe this one? https://fanbuzz.com/college-football/500-pound-football-player/

I mean TJ does have an open scholarship…
It could be a good thing, or it could be a non-good thing. Might depend on context.Call me crazy but I'd be a little cautious with a kid with 'Most Hated' tattooed on the backs of his legs...

Maybe it's a body image thing, and his calves are his most hated part of his body.Call me crazy but I'd be a little cautious with a kid with 'Most Hated' tattooed on the backs of his legs...
Doubt ISU is going to be involved but just some names that are left.
Akot from Boise State would be a good add. Good height and hit 38% with 55 made 3's over 32 games.
But with our current roster I don't think he sees 25mpg+ guaranteed. He's been a nomad, so I think he's looking to bump back up to P5, but would prefer a clear path to significant PT.
Or, at least one of his calvesMaybe it's a body image thing, and his calves are his most hated part of his body.

Thanks for the clarification. Makes a lot more sense now. Missouri has become bad at football and basketball recently and I love it.Martin got fired. Dennis Gates from Cleveland State is the new Mizzou coach
Walton would of been a good backup plan if AJ didn't string us along until the 11th hour. Tech getting a good offensive player and will likely be able to mold him into a better defender.
Agreed here. You never know how it works out once you get out of the top 20 or so guys. But Eli King seems to get overlooked in my eyes. He was the top option as a guard for the midwest schools (Iowa, MN, Marquette) and then Stanford who likes to swing into MN to handpick a guy every now and then. He was a 4-star top 75 guy but then didn't play summer ball due to rehabbing his knee so his rating dropped. The more I ponder the staff's thinking the more I believe they are confident that 1 or 2 of incoming freshman can contribute as solid B12 level and were just open to using the last scholarship on a true difference maker like AJ. Walton for example has talent but I'm not sure it is that much better than Watson or Eli King have and would be blocking their development if added. That doesn't also factor in adding Tre King at mid year. The staff isn't going to play 10-11 players so having a open roster spot to pick up a elite sit out year transfer for next year may actually be better long term.
We strung our selves along. AJ said from the beginning going pro was his priority.Walton would of been a good backup plan if AJ didn't string us along until the 11th hour. Tech getting a good offensive player and will likely be able to mold him into a better defender.

It's probably me but I guess I'm not understanding your argument. He should have committed and not taken those workouts after saying all along that he was going to go right up to the deadline? He was never dishonest about anything that was happening. No one outside of the Green household actually thought he had a realistic shot at a guarantee until the final weekend workouts with the Bucks and Pacers

The coaching staff got the guys they wanted out of the transfer portal. We took Williams and Holmes pretty early in the process, that indicates to me the coaching staff feels they are Big12 caliber starters. We strung our selves along. AJ said from the beginning going pro was his priority.
