Dang, forgot this got him on the U23 team too. He’ll probably bring home another world title.
I believe the National Team will be made up of all Final X finalists, and the 3rd place finalists so it should look something like this:
57kg: Thomas Gilman, Vito Arujao, Zane Richards
61kg: Daton Fix, Seth Gross, Nico Megaludis/Daniel DeShazer
65kg: Yianni Diakomihalis, Evan Henderson, Joey McKenna
70kg: Jordon Oliver, Zain Retherford, Tyler Berger
74kg: Kyle Dake, Jason Nolf, David Carr
79kg: Jordan Burroughs, Chance Marsteller, Vincenzo Joseph/Carter Starocci
86kg: David Taylor, Zahid Valencia, Mark Hall/Trent Hidlay

I am really surprised that Fix lost to Gross
I thought Fix got a little passive. Gross got a couple push outs & all the momentum.

Rathjen/Chittum first round shows how loaded this bracket is. The winner vs Paniro is a quarter finals match.
The bracket is absolutely loaded, best weight in the tourney if you ask me
So is the U23 bracket useless now since David can take that spot? They are on round of 128 right now. A ton of guys in that bracket wrestling to not make the team now?
