Tyrese Hunter Entering the Transfer Portal - NIL Speculation

Does TH just want to play fast and pump up his stats? The schools he actually visited were some of the highest scoring teams in the country and it’s no secret that our scoring offense was one of the lowest in all of college basketball last year. I find it hard that he wouldn’t want to play defense given how talented he is on that end of the floor.

It's been long enough now I wonder if he is as good as he thinks he is. We all liked him last season but he seems to have not found a home yet.
He's not a Cyclone anymore so I don't care enough to do much tracking on him, but I think the high NIL opportunity teams he's considering all have guys who are in the NBA draft currently but might withdraw. If they withdraw there might not be a spot for Hunter. Or there may be multiple players in, and if the wrong guy stays in from Hunter's respective their needs warrant taking a transfer who isn't a PG.

Hell I’m to the point now that I’m wondering if he’s waiting to see where AJG ends up.

I have no strong opinion on that per se, but I've watched WAY more NBA playoffs this year than for many years. And the reason is: shooting.
Those mofos can SHOOT, even from the locker room door.
Clearly this is partly the "Curry Effect," but there are more and more of them, and 5 ft.beyond the arc is like a 19-footer used to be for Bird or Magic. IMO at least.
What I'm getting at is that TH is not in that category of shooter if I'm an NBA scout.

To be fair he was only a freshman this past year

Sounds like KU people think it is either Texas or Tennessee. Of the two, if I were him, I would choose Tennessee.
we can only. hope. His KU visit is this weekend, yet, correct? So wonder why think they they'd be out.

Speaking of Texas, when is the year 'for sure' that Tx and OU are playing in the SEC w/o penalty or settlement?

Texas and KU are 2 of his visits, and high on his list. Chris Beard is one of the best defensive coaches in the country, and Bill Self won't play guys if they don't give effort defensively.

I have a feeling he knows where he is going but it's just a matter of clearing a scholarship to make room for him or getting the NIL $ committed before it becomes official.
