Just watched episode 5 and man, this is a dark show. I wasn’t really expecting it, but I dig it. They’ve done an amazing job of capturing the mental illness and showing it to the audience.

I know nothing of the MoonKnight character, but it feels like maybe he doesn’t really ever join the Avengers. Maybe this is just a one-off show that ties into other things. Zombies with What if? and now in MoonKnight too? IDK, but I’m vibing on this show. Best MCU thing since WandaVision.

And Oscar Isaac is an amazing talent

I guess the latest rate increase for Hulu/Disney+ was worth it. Apparently, I'm able to get next year's releases!

Loved the finale. Yes we get the patented CGI Marvel showdown, but it was so well pulled off I don’t even care at this point.

Also apparently Marvel turned Layla into the MCU’s version of Scarlet Scarab so that was a welcome surprise. I hope she and Oscar Isaac stick around for future projects, even if a season 2 isn’t in the cards yet.

Be sure to watch the stinger.

Moon Knight finale.

Some will hate it. I enjoyed it. CGI wasn't too bad in the last episode.

So, I'm curious who created Jake. Was it Marc to wall off the extreme violence he committed or was it Steven to protect himself? Although, for those that knew of his existence, it was clear when Marc and Steven bargained to be released that Konshu specifically stated he would release the 2 of them knowing full well that Jake was all in on being the instrument of vengeance and he would still have his avatar.

So, take this with a grain of salt, but since Disney supposedly already submitted this to the TV Academy in the Limited Series category, they can't do a Season 2. There's some stipulations that the story can't be ongoing. Now there are countless ways around that as Moon Knight could appear on other shows, or they can do some sort of team-up show ala The Defenders, but this might be it for Moon Knight's solo adventures.

Just purely looking at Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb and % of Google users that liked the movie it looks like Dr Strange is solid but not great. I wonder if it's a little hard to follow for more casual fans? I'm sure the whole multiverse thing can turn a lot of people off.

Thoughts on Moon Knight. Lots of great acting performances. Loved that it was a little different type of show. My only criticism is that they tried to fit a little too much in the final episode. Overall enjoyed it and want more Moon Knight and Layla in the MCU! Also the whole relationship with Konshu and the personalities of Moon Knight is an interesting dynamic.

That's disappointing.

The MCU is starting to borrow from the parent source's penchant for scattering a major story across multiple different titles. While you can get most of it from just following the movies, there's lots of details scattered across the TV shows that not everyone is seeing.

Yeah it's a lot to invest in everything to keep up. You're going to lose more casual fans. You also have so much to watch that I'm sure most people aren't willing to start from the beginning

Going to Doctor Strange now. Reviews aren’t great but I like Raimi and heard this is kind of scary so I’m up for that. Wish the studio would have let him loose to do what he really wanted because I bet that version is great. Gotta please the masses though.

Based on reviews I've seen, it seems like most say it transforms into more of a Raimi movie than an MCU one.

Moon Knight: in general, I thought the acting was great but the story and writing was not. Really didn't have much of a story and it felt like everything was rushed in a short season. Would have liked more backstory on the villains and the psych ward could've been done better. I'm not saying it was bad, just not up to the normal level of Marvel.
