“Do you donate?” would suffice around here.It would be great if asking someone in an argument "How much do you donate?" was a bannable offense.
It's like clockwork; if certain posters get in an argument the d!ck measuring begins.

I think the lower half members of the SEC and B10 would support this, just happy to be protected and well paid.Exactly.
Winning used to be the exclusive branding. Now it’s being a member of the premier league. How many struggling NFL franchises would willingly join a lower league?
The value becomes nearly all in the league membership. I’m not sure why the blue bloods want to give up the near monopoly status they enjoy, but 5-30 benefit.
With pay to play and some level of cap, the competitive balance improves while the importance of having elite records diminishes. Does anyone think less of super bowl champs that were six seeds with 6 losses?
We are last in the league in donations and will be in the new B12 too. We are behind most P5 programs and certainly those that could be considered our peers. This isn’t about big donors. This is about ISU having a relatively small number of donors compared to other, even smaller, schools. We need more fans to donate and we need more donors to give more.Big Donors— T. Boone Pickens
Do un salary capped leagues have people willing to throw money at winning?
The victim will turn into the players. These adults shelling out money and "representing" kids will need to be regulated eventually. That is when this turns into minor league sports.
The majority wouldn’t be “top tier“ and it would only be a select few making this new tier. Let’s be honest, this fan base doesn’t donate top tier money now. Tiers already exist.
There is a lot unknowns here. Does this Super League extend beyond FB? Are many of the basketball blue bloods left behind (UNC, KU, Duke, Kentucky, etc.)? What about non revenue sports? What if the ND AD is correct and it will be a semi-pro league that licenses the names of 30(?) schools? Is that even college athletics anymore? Will anyone outside of those fans bases care anymore, once they aren’t connected to the broader world of college athletics? You’re confused here. I don’t even know where to start…
Do schools have more money coming in than ISU? Of course, but we still can play those teams for B12 Championship Titles, in the NCAA Basketball Tournament, or even the CFP.
If those schools leave - they will be considered top tier and our donations/ticket prices should reflect that we are no longer in that group.
If you believe any different that’s on you. It is great that you have a distorted view of the real world though.

How much have donations increased in the last 5 years?Be good at football = more donors. That’s all there is to it.
How much have donations increased in the last 5 years?
I don’t know, that’s why I’m asking. Since your point was be good at football, get more donations. How much more would they be?

We have won a bunch of football games the last 5 years, including a bcs bowl. So we’ve been good at football
So how has that impacted ad donations in that timeframe?
It’s not even about being apart of the 30. It’s that Iowa State won’t even be in the lower middle class neighborhood we are now.
We won’t be in the same group as Oklahoma State, baylor, tcu, Kansas State, Tech
We will be at a lower level than that.
I'm rumored to be receiving a night out with Anna Kendrick. Feel free to tweet that.

So all we have to do is find a Russian billionaire who wants to rehabilitate his image. No problem.
Because there will still be levels of donations that will separate schoolsHow do you arrive at that conclusion?
From surveys, other schools have the same amount of non donors to NIL as us. It’s the big ones that separates us.Because there will still be levels of donations that will separate schools
We aren’t in their neighborhood now. Add all the take their ball and go home people, and that gulf grows even further.
I know it’s the new topic of conversation, so it supersedes everythingFrom surveys, other schools have the same amount of non donors to NIL as us. It’s the big ones that separates us.

We can even put his superyacht on Lake Panorama!
Despite the adjustments happening at a glacial pace even the market for tickets and the required donations is a free market. The AD wants to maximize revenue with a careful eye to not pissing off the fan base too much. So if ISU moves down a level the market will decide what is the appropriate rate by buying tickets or not buying tickets; by donating or not donating. It will adjust to another equilibrium. It isn't for Jamie to decide in a vacuum, he needs to listen to the market and adjust accordingly. You’re confused here. I don’t even know where to start…
