Tyrese Hunter Entering the Transfer Portal - NIL Speculation

How so? Go ask 100 random people who Nijel Pack is or better yet show them a picture and ask who it is. Essentially nobody knows or gives a **** who Pack is. Nothing against him, he’s a really good player. It’s just that people don’t really follow CBB enough.
When a normal commercial comes on, do you know who ANY of those people are?

Knowing Pack is irrelevant. This isn’t a celebrity endorsement.

It’s getting their name out there. Using NIL itself as the marketing, not Pack. Right now there’s 800k in marketing value just from NIL being headline worthy. As I said initially, that won’t always be the case, but right now it is. 15 minutes of fame is normally more than 800k.

So they are getting pub for blowing money by paying some guy almost no one knows to play for some college basketball team? Basically you are saying blowing money on random **** is good marketing because it is getting their name out there? You could spend $800k about a million ways that would get more attention from most people in the country than paying Nijel Pack to play basketball. They could probably pay some dork on tik tok or professional gamer and get their name out there way more.

I mean…people are more likely to use a product if they know it exists aren’t they? As opposed to if they didn’t know it existed? This cannot be argued. can it?
True if your goal is to only make people aware of your product.

But then there would need to be additional aspects of their marketing campaign to educate, promote product itself and introduce a way to buy product. Do you really think that is happening here?

I doubt it. So IMO it's a waste of marketing $.

It’s the foremost goal of marketing.

And one that can cost far more than 800k to have such a headline.

People like you are why this was a great way to spend on NIL. Your ignorance made it a headline that continues to get talked about

If TH goes to Kansas, Bill Self will be asked about it and he'll justify it as "well Tristin Enuara transferred to Iowa State so it's just the times we live in".

I have already forgotten the name of the company that paid Pack. The only person benefitting from his NIL Is Nigel Pack. Do you think when Bill Rafferty does a Miami game next year he will name the company that paid Pack? Not a chance.

If the foremost goal is to create headlines, there are cheaper ways to go about it. Hope you are/were not a marketing major at ISU. Last time I looked the foremost goal of marketing is to SELL product.

Trusted internet rumor states UNC pulled offer & TH is visiting KU. Additionally that TH is #1 rated in Portal.

I saw some ******* Kan$a$$ fan on Twitter yucking it up about how Iowa State has become their farm team. **** him and **** every single greasy one one of their hoser fans. They have engaged in more fraud, deceit, and cheating than any school not named UNC. I am done with men's basketball. Just another G league. My entire focus for basketball will be the women's team (at least if and until improper implementation of NIL ruins that sport as well). Peace out.

As annoying as Hunter at Kansas would be, I think you're right that from a pure basketball standpoint, it sure beats them having Pack or Davis.

I think Hunter can become a great college player, and already is a great college defender. But he's far from Pack or Davis on offense at this point.

Now watch him shoot 40% from three next year and turn it over half as much because I just said that.
He will improve his stats because there are better players around him. He's going to kick our ass IMO.

If 500k is for guys that need others to make them better, what does a guy that makes others better, get?

It will help not to be next to Gabe, that is true, but nothing was preventing him from being a better 3P shooter last season other than his skill.

He could finish a little better with better athletes to pass to as well, but he just didn't have good feel and lacked some tools last season. Particularly early. Common to most freshman.

I suspect he will improve, but mostly just from him getting better. That is what players generally do as they get experience. He's not a role player that needs players around him to be better than the 14 PER he had a year ago on 24% usage. That's mostly on him not yet being ready for that role. He was second in usage. Our offense was inefficient because of Hunter as much as Hunter was inefficient because of our offense.

Tell me how much you remember from the countless more expensive marketing campaigns you've been exposed to in the last day? How may products did you buy because that company spent well over 800k to reach you?

You can't sell a product without that product existing to a consumer. Basic stuff here.

I think the company makes onesies for dogs out of Llama wool?

I don't disagree that TH has room to grow as a player and, specifically, as a PG. But there is no doubt he would be much more efficient with better shooters, better ball-handlers, better players around him. For one thing, he would be more effective finishing at the rim if there were reliable 3-point shooters on the perimeter that opposing defenses had to respect.
