Is there someone that's played well enough to take the baton but Tiger's media attention won't let them?I wish that play was the only thing that drives this.

I agree. Saying "pass the baton" isn't an option unless some phenom arrives on the scene.

Okay maybe that was the wrong phrase. Should have gone with “stop sucking all the oxygen” maybe?
I don't think "he's too popular" is a good reason for him to hang it up, especially not for the Masters. People play the Masters until they're dead and maybe even a year or two longer.
Sweet, so the rest of the field will be ignored by the media until Sunday (or Saturday if Tiger misses the cut)
Yeah this is part that annoys me. It's not that I dislike Tiger per se it's just the overblown media coverage (not really his fault) and also the many golf "fans" that all they know or care about is Tiger and then act like they are some die-hard of the sport.Sweet, so the rest of the field will be ignored by the media until Sunday (or Saturday if Tiger misses the cut)
IMO you can't call yourself a golf fan unless you're living and dying over whether Adam Schenk makes the cut on a given week.Yeah this is part that annoys me. I'm just here to watch Tiger
Seems like it's going to be a global tour.Word is Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Kevin Na, and DeChambum are going to the Saudi tour.
Can Phil Phlop be far behind?
Interesting. Poulter and Westwood's best days are in the rear view mirror, but Na is a good get and Dechambeau is huge. All four have personality. Will be interesting to see if the PGA sticks to their word about lifetime bans if this flops in a year or two.Word is Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, Kevin Na, and DeChambum are going to the Saudi tour.
