In a lot of ways TJ is a the victim of his early success. This team has regressed and that isn't on Prohm. That's on TJ.

The team regressed because they are void of talent. How that isn’t at least some fault on the 2-22 coach before him I’m not sure. After all we were told that CSP’s failures were based on Hoiberg not leaving a deep enough bench.

He beat a lot of good teams early in the year.

Decent teams but they're being overvalued.

Xavier's pretty good...top 25ish.

Tech's pretty good. ISU won a rock fight.

Memphis is talented but a poor team and Iowa is pretty good so long as the other team doesn't guard them or make them guard.

Texas was their best win because a player that nobody wants to play or shoot (have your pick), played, and shot, and even Texas has been shaky along the way.

Look I’m sorry for starting a controversial thread, but Chris was super critical of the fans questioning the TJ hire when things were good. His bias very evident. Obviously we all want TJ to succeed, but it just rubs me the wrong way that he can’t own up to he may be wrong about TJ from what we’ve seen recently. He’s been out coached, that’s a fact.

Matt Campbell does this all the time. Doesn't make it not coach speak, but it sure feels better than "players gotta play harder" (paraphrasing).

Right. Matt goes to bat for his players. Sometimes it's ********. But he does it because that is what the players need.

Have we ever seen TJ go to bat for his players? Honest question. I mean, hell I've been bagging on Grill all night, but I hope TJ said something nice about him in the press conference.

This team is broken and tired. I didn't see a team that didn't want to win tonight. I saw a team that forgot how to win. It's TJ's job to make them believe they can win.

I mean that is some good wins. And yet we blew a 15 point lead at home to Kansas State. Do you honestly think TJ is doing some great job as a coach right now?

You expected better than 16 wins in Year 1?

Xavier was missing players, tech had 7 players. Texas and Iowa are the only tourney teams we’ve beat at full strength
I guess this was more my point and I may have misspoke. I'm not really sure how good Creighton, Memphis, or Iowa actually is. Xavier clearly a tourney team. Texas isn't non-con which I thoughts what we were discussing.

No.

Are we sure he was doing a great job early outside of having a foundation of defense/toughness? It wasn't like ISU out-schemed anyone. The talent limitations, even with a bunch of players with experience, were very evident.

ISU played well together early while most teams didn't.

When the dust settles, and every team has guys that can consistently shoot, winning is hard.

Honest question. If it were your friend, would you call him out?

I'm going to tag out and let you take it, because I think we are on the same page, also JSB tends to spiral and I'm not putting in the effort tonight.

Do you not think he's been out coached against West Virginia and Kansas State? For ****'s sake Oklahoma State blew out West Virginia today.

You can think TJ is the best coach, but he's been out coached lately.

I didn’t say T.J. was the best coach. But he is certainly better than the one that drove the program into the ground.
