F&M OPEN

Hard to understand why at 133. Cam with a tough loss had a solid cradle but when he went for turn ended up out of bounds. He should have been able to keep him in, somewhat disappointing he needed to secure TD and get his 2 for the win.
Questionable not just trying to come around and get his 2 there for the TD rather than the roll through cradle. I continue to think he needs to get stronger to compete at this level but that's just an outsiders opinion.

Conditioning seems like an issue there to me for him. Which makes me really wonder about him being at 33 again.

Schmidt just won again at 165 MD 15-5. Kraisser won 3-1 over an Iowa kid at AF. Stotts lost 6-5 to Vt kid Ulrey, good recruit. Broderson with a 15-0 TF

Knopick was up 11-0 and got the pin. Hoping to really see him string together some wins on the backside now and get some matches under his belt. Cabanban with a bye.

On the FLOARENA site, Knopick/Robinson/Fisher are on team "Iowa State-Unattached" but Johnson is on team "Unattached".

Is there a difference?

Iowa State-Unattached means that they are redshirting. Paniro is greyshirting this year, so he is not technically on the Iowa State wrestling team and his eligibility clock hasn't started yet. He will be a true freshman next year

Yes.

Anyone who's on a college roster, but is competing unattached, should be listed as "[school]-unattached."

Anyone who isn't on a college roster is just "unattached" unless they're repping an RTC or WC.

OK.

Can someone explain the "greyshirt" concept for me? TIA

Doesn't happen very often, Penn State has done it a couple of times. There can be various reasons and I'll list just a couple so you get the idea: waiting for scholarship money to free up, 4 or 5 year line-up plan works out better with waiting a year to start their clock, could get getting residency in a state to get lower tuition costs, could need time to develop more (guys used to go to OTC for a grayshirt year)

Does Paniro have the kid next from Army that beat Degen?

Redding just gave up a lot of ridding time and lost 6-5. He looks small for 141 just not sure he's small enough to make 133. Looks like he could add some size if he wants to grow into full sized 141
