Couple of the young guys are wrestling starting this morning, sounds like St. John is there with them.
125 - Knopick drew the 1st seed Van Vleet AF first round
133 - Cabanban has a Binghamton kid/ surprised he's up at 133.
141 - Redding got the 3 seed
149 - Paniro is wrestling unattached
165 - Kraisser got the 5 seed. Schmidt is there unseeded. Stotts also unseeded.
174 - Broderson unseeded has a Bucknell kid
184 - Cody Fisher is there, has a Harvard kid first round
that's all I noticed, sorry if I missed anyone. I like that these young guys are getting fresh competition not named UNI, Grand View, Iowa, SDSU guys. They see the same guys over and over the first couple years of competition.

Thanks for posting

Knopick looked good. Good movement on his feet and controlled the mat. was 1-1 late in the 3rd period and he gave up a bs danger takedown to lose 3-1. Looked like a garbage count and I wish it could've been challenged, but a learning experience never the less

I like the idea of hitting some tournaments out East. A lot of the guys are from out that way and good way to be visible to potential recruits.

Cody Fisher just won 6-2 and will have the #1 seed from Army next round. Gabe Christenson is officially wrestling for Virginia now at 197 he just won his match

Should be it for the first round guys. Everyone except Knopick won their match and is into the round of 16. Knopick with a tough loss to the 1 seed on a danger call but wrestled well.

Cabanban was the aggressor and came up short in OT at the end of the period. He was in on a shot and got whipped to his back. Wrestled tough against the 3 seed up at 133 - is this a permanent move?

Hard to understand why at 133. Cam with a tough loss had a solid cradle but when he went for turn ended up out of bounds. He should have been able to keep him in, somewhat disappointing he needed to secure TD and get his 2 for the win.
