NFL: ***2022 NFL Season Thread***

It's 17 games as of this year. The 17th game is a random opponent from the opposite conference (if you're familiar with how the NFL creates their schedules).
I think I am. But then everything changes, like the Seahawks being an NFC team now, so let’s be sure.

2 games against division teams
1 game against every team from two other NFL divisions. (Every team in your division also plays those same teams, I think?)

Specifically (using the Lions as an example since they're local for me):

2 games against each team in your division (x2 Packers, Vikings, Bears)
1 game against all the teams from a division in your conference (NFC West - 49ers, Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks)
1 game against all the teams from a division in the opposite conference (AFC North - Ravens, Browns, Bengals, Steelers)
Whatever place you finished in your division last year, 1 game against those that finished in the same place in the other divisions in your conference (Eagles, Falcons)
The new one: One random team from the opposite conference (Broncos)

Thanks! I was close but this cleared it up. The random 17th game is weird, but I guess they need more revenue (and more concussions).
