I wonder how John Wayne Gacy lived only 6 blocks from my house growing up and I fit his target demographic. Weird things happen right under our noses.

Was your family completely shocked when he was arrested? You got lucky!

David Lane - large white Supremacist and neo nazi is from Woden Iowa. He created the second version of the 14 words.

Pretty fitting an odinist is from a town called Woden which was the anglo saxon version of Odin. David Lane has some real crazy conspiracies. Like the pyramids were made by the aryans.

Never head of him, and I grew up in the general area.

Randy Weaver and his family of Ruby Ridge fame were from Iowa. I think he went to UNI.

Though nowhere near on the same level as these guys...

Well, yeah, failure to appear isn't too nefarious (what they did to him and his family was the nefarious part).

Holy hell, I never knew Dahmer lived in Ames for four years growing up (while his Dad got his PhD).

So, they must have been in Ames from 1962-66. Well before my time. Jeffrey was born in 1960 so he was 2-6 years old while in Ames. Probably tough to spot a cannibalistic serial killer at kindergarten recess.

It's wild to me that a home sits on that property.

Someone knowingly bought a home that sits where this guy buried the dead.

I can't believe the energy would be positive
