Well we thought a few ranked opponents wouldn't nosedive the way they did, so you got me there.
I just don't think you can paint with that broad of a brush. In my opinion they 1) Went a perfect 13-0, 2) Against the good teams on their schedule in conference (SMU and Houston) they brought it and dominated and the most important one is 3) They went into South Bend and beat Notre Dame who has turned out to be a playoff caliber team going to likely finish at 5th in the rankings.
So I don't care if it was ONLY one game, they proved they could go on the road and win against a blue blood top-10 team. They lost on a last-second FG in the Peach Bowl to Georgia last year. Again, not saying they won't get owned by Bama or whoever, but guess what? We will know what would have happened instead of guessing. Every other team has had their shot this year and stumbled, and some against not so great competition. Look at your own Hawkeyes for that one as an example losing to Purdue and Wisconsin who are basically Houston (who Cincy just made look pretty poor).
Yeah, it turned out that the teams you beat that you thought were good, weren't..... yes, including ISU. See ISU fans can admit stuff like that.
I don't know if Cincy is for real or not.... but at some point one of these G5 teams have to be given a chance to prove themselves.... so why not this year when it's a down year? People are actually talking about ND being in the CFP... that's how weak the teams are this season. So give Cincy a shot this year. If they fall on their face.... then don't let any G5 teams in again until the playoff gets expanded.
Would have liked to see if the committee might have jumped OSU over Cincy, but moot now.

Bama, this was dominating. Especially considering Mechie went out injured and their starting RB didn't play.
Bama will and should be 1. Look Georgia is still really good and they just got it taken to them today. Let’s not be a prisoner of the moment when until a few hours ago almost everyone said it was Georgia and everyone else.
If Michigan wins it will likely be
1. Bama
2. Michigan
3. Georgia
4. Cincinnati
That's a tough call. UM lost to MSU.... and Bama to A&M. I feel like A&M is probably better than MSU for sure. And I assume Bama's SOS is better? Don't know on that? Bama's win tonight is better than UM's win over tOSU too.
If they aren't and get blown out who cares?
I've had Bucky B1G fan tell me when B1G teams get worked it was just a bad performance so Cinci can just say that.
I'm more interested in what they do than some typical matchup.
The NCAA tournament isn't what it is because underdogs get destroyed.
So all the underdogs have won the big championship games so far except Cincy, right? Utah, Baylor, and Bama. It only figures that Iowa will win tonight then too.
I feel like it's a win-win for me tonight.... anytime Iowa loses it's a win for me.... and if Iowa wins it will be funny that no B1G teams make it in, and watching Harbaugh lose to a horrible team like Iowa would be fun to see too.

I really think Iowa has a great chance tonight if they can create a few turnovers. Wouldn’t be surprised by an upset tonight.
