True, and his play has more often lead to a win.
This is true but it's also why I don't subscribe to the idea that he's elite. While he has helped us win, he is also too turnover prone. There's been an incredible amount of good - and a lot of not so good. Hes a good player, but IMO the ball security has kept him from being a truly great.

I just... did I miss something on tv? Did he have to leave for a play? Why did we decide that was the time to put Dekkers in and try that? I don't understand.... clearly there's a lot I don't understand but that decision I just don't get. If something happened where he had to leave the field for a play for some reason than I understand that but if Purdy was good to go... I don't know. You put in the backup for the first time since - Kansas? - and clearly OU's going to think something's up. Again unless I just missed something and he had to leave for a play.

the fumble... just... I appreciate him trying to make a play. But that's a situation where a 4 year starter has to understand throw it out, scramble but you can't get caught in between like that because 9 times out of 10 in sports, when you're caught in between, something bad happens.
