These 4 ball teams have me worried. Splitting up JT, Morikawa and Xander/Cantlay is not going to be popular
However, if there is a player to unseat Rahm, it is Bryson.. The guy will either be a giant liability like Paris, or go out and dominate... Pretty high risk and high reward
I don’t really care about breaking up winning alternate shot teams. You have to play the matchups now imo.
Boy we've got a bunch dramatic golf fans in the thread! All-in-all good first session for the US, but they always have a good first. This afternoon will give us a better read on things. I actually like the Finau/English combo up against Rory, they can hang with him. JT, I guess you're banking on him playing his way out of a funk. Brooks you've probably got to keep on a pitch count with the wrist, probably seem him early tomorrow and not the afternoon again. GO USA!

Taking an optimistic look at this afternoon for Team USA:
Group 1 may shoot 59. as JT and Xander may be 20+ yards ahead on every tee shot. That matters over 18 holes. We saw that in the JT/Spieth pairing this morning
Group 2 is full of birdie and eagle potential. These two could make 10 birdies or shoot 75
Group 3 is in trouble. I just don't like Kinau with the putter under pressure
Group 4 has world #4 and #6 for USA against #14 and #37. If JT can get hot. Europe will get crushed.

I’d be pretty happy with a 2-2 and think that would keep momentum with the US.
