my reasons?

~ 90% of UNI alums are Hawkeye fans

~ Farley, when interviewed on TV the week of the Iowa game in yrs past---just gushes over the Hawkeyes and Kirk Ferentz. His eyes glow and he is almost in tears talking about them

~ Farley loathes ISU

~ Farley has basically admitted in the past he is 'ok' when Iowa swoops in the 11th hour and steals a prized recruit from UNI

~ Did I mention PantherHawks are the absolute worst people to deal with?

None of the stuff about Farley is remotely true. He's always complimentary of both Iowa and Iowa State, just look up his press conference today.

He grew up a Minnesota fan in Waukon and he's equally pissed no matter who swipes in late. He's had Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Minnesota and just about everybody else do it.

The PantherHawk thing is nothing more than being the 3rd option in a small state when 70% of your student body is from Eastern Iowa and/or Des Moines.

I have see countless interviews of him on KCRG/KWWL/KGAN over the last 15-odd years.

His ISU compliments are shallow and disingenuous and careful.
His love for Hawkeyes is obvious. He literally wets his pants talking about them.

I have also seen his reaction when he loses a recruit to Kirk--- he was almost proud of it. Plus he has recruited against ISU--steering the washed-up RB recruit from Cedar Falls a few yrs ago away from ISU--to Iowa

You apparently haven't paid attention, or have never been on the receiving end of some douchebag UNI alum living vicariously through Iowa FB and MBB---berating ISU in front of an ISU alum

You know my son-in-law?

Our youngest daughter (who also attended UNI) gave him a Christmas gift that included a BEAT IOWA t-shirt in UNI colors, along with a CD of the Beach Boy's "Be true to your school" back in the day when Iowa played UNI. He refused to wear it. He's Hokeyes, 24/7. Regrettably, so is his son, (my grandson) which complicates things because all the kid talks about is Hok b.s.
