I can live with a lot of overrated arguments, and I could live with a lot of them last year. But if you are ranking Indiana up there, you are ******* moron. Their best win was 4-3 Wisconsin.

Iowa State listed as an overrated team. we'll see a lot of this i'm sure. mentions Purdy inconsistency as their reason for not fully believing. can't argue a ton with that.
but i love that we are starting top 10, cause we've seen that matters for getting into playoffs later or whatever bowl it is. unfortunately pre season rankings actually do matter. first time getting this kind of advantage for us.

I just don't get what people love about Miami. Their two biggest games in 2020 were 24 and 36 point blowouts... We haven't had a blowout loss since the Camping World Bowl.. Where we played up several notches above where we deserve since our fans travel
can be mad about Rece's rankings but let's be real. we gotta start beating Iowa. haven't beat them since 2014. i'm sick of it. it's the one knock on Campbell so far. never looks prepared for that game. hopefully such an experienced team won't get off to as slow a start as past seasons. we need to start a win steak over Iowa this year. otherwise gonna get sick of hearing bout it.
When Milton was running free for a long TD on that busted coverage to start the 2nd half I distinctly remember saying, "we're gonna win this game."
Crazy to think how many times we failed to put it away after that and Iowa got out of trouble so many times after that and backed into an ugly win. It just really sucks how it played out.

In the years that CMC lost to Iowa which game would you say we really stacked up well against them? Maybe 2019 and lets get serious, we win that game if that second weather delay doesn't happen. We had Iowa on the ropes and they got to go back to the drawing board. Everything about that game was weird.
I thought you meant Perkins and the RB who ended up playing. My bad! But yeah those two definitely would’ve helped.
This is the first year I can honestly say we will be significantly better than Iowa. In years prior, we’ve been pretty darn even. We’re better at every single level this year and TBD on special teams.
Sure, we could’ve / should’ve won in 2017 and 2019, but we still made the mistakes that caused the losses. We couldn’t tackle a soul in 2017 and we couldn’t make a can of corn INT to seal the deal. (That’s disregarding the muffed punt)
Maybe it was an "alliance" of sportswriters voting in markets serving the Big 10, ACC & Pac 12?
