Mo' algorithms gone bad. #WTF

Considering how much Amazon knows about my reading history via Kindle books they should NOT be sending me an email with suggested romance novels. Closing in on 70 and never read a romance novel in my entire life. Not likely to be breaking with that.

Pretty good storm must have rolled through last night.
All I know is, around 3am Milo, Mel & Tab started freaking out and needed to be as close to me as possible without actually being inside my skin. We had a boomer sitting right over top of us with nearly continuous lightening/booming for about 20 minutes, and they.were.not.happy...

My tail is really dragging this morning. Took me forever to get back to sleep.

When you fold T shirts, do you fold the backside inward or the front side? I fold the backside so I can see what one it is in the drawer. My wife does the front side and I have to take it out and unfold it to see what it is. If the wrong one I have to refill it and put it away.
Face down, fold 1/3 from each side inward, and fold each sleeve back so it lays flat. Then in thirds from the bottom. Leaves the front design exposed and no big crease across the chest. When we're travelling, instead of folding in thirds on the second set of folds, I roll them (again starting from the bottom). They fit better in the suitcase and have fewer creases.

I do sleeves touching each other and front to bottom. So I guess I can't read the front. But my tee-shirts are all cubs or ISU basically or like plain colored shirts.

Another line of storms hitting us now. Internet works but cable is out. Watched Tomorrow War this morning. Now I need to find something else

Once it got to the action it was tolerable. The massive plot hole had me perplexed

Even larger than the usual time travel plot holes.

Posted this in the what's streaming thread last weekend:

Watched the Chris Pratt scifi The Tomorrow War on Amazon tonight. It's okay if you don't think about it too much, most of the time travel movies have huge logic holes in them so you just have to go with the flow. Good popcorn movie although I did scotch and chocolate. ;)
Maybe in line with some of the Terminator sequels (not as good as some, better than others) but IMHO not as good as Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow. Chris Pratt is his usual likeable character. J.K. Simmons plays the gruff old dude, does a good job not wearing his Farmer's Insurance commercial vest or Law & Order doctor hat.
Summary: C+, fits my mantra of "Mediocre science fiction is better than no science fiction at all."

Well my day went better than it should have, started an hour late which usually bodes ill for me. Still finished up before 4. So I called that a successful day. Time to get cleaned up and figure out something for supper.

Forecast for tomorrow is haze. Assuming this is from the fires in Canada. Not coming with Air Q warning like in NE MN today.

Shark Week is cranking up. I'm fascinated by them and enjoy watching how they operate.

But there's too many shows that go as follows:

'There are more humans than ever before, and more humans are traveling to places with high shark populations and visiting the beaches/water.'

'There have been more shark attacks in recent years.'

'Why is this happening!!!!??'

Well so much for going to bed early channel flipped one last time and found Shawshank Redemption. I'll be up way to late now. In other movie notes I never made the correlation between Marion in the Indiana Jones series and Katy from Animal house, for some reason it finally clicked while watching Indiana Jones when she smiled I thought it was the same person and IMDB confirmed.

Very busy week and next week will be worse.

Met up with friends for drinks tonight after dinner and rode the electric scooters around. Damn those are fun.

Might be selling our house sooner than later…stay tuned.

Was at work yesterday way too long, ate very late lunch/early supper, and crashed in the recliner. Husband called from out of town, which woke me up, asked me to start a load of laundry, he'd get it in the dryer. Fell asleep for another 40(?) minutes, then started the laundry and changed into PJs. Could not get back to sleep. I'm definitely working on less than four hours sleep for the traditional time you sleep...probably closer to three. Recliner nap was three hours.

I'm giving myself grace to go in today an hour-ish later, but it's going to be rough.
