So Iowa State will run a player for Carr but not Dawson Garcia? Interesting. I was told earlier this week that would never happen. For the record, I agree with you. We make a spot for Carr. And Garcia
So when you aren't, "on record" can we still trust you?

Not with the 7/1 deadline for immediate eligibility. A player pushed out would not be immediately eligible elsewhere after 7/1 and any staff doing so would receive warranted criticism in doing so.

He's probably going to Iowa. They have a scholarships available. I'm not sure if Carr has a relative that has a history with Iowa athletics, though.

This is a kid any program in the country will make room for. ISU included.

Well, pro or not he was the first transfer I thought TJ should make a call. When saying that on this site after TJ was hired, was summarily told to hit the bricks because we cannot expect even a recruiting genius like TJ to bring in that type of talent. After the players he has brought in do they still think this?

This is a "DeAndre Kane" type of player and you are absolutely correct if he is interested........you make room. Now, with all this talk of "culture" being passed around like a bong in a drum circle maybe we'll be told it might create like waves man......and like don't rock the boat man. I know Fred would go after this like a hungry kid waiting to eat a Twix bar.

Basically everybody is going to be immediately eligible next season, and if a kid gets pushed out the ncaa is for sure letting him be eligible.

I know we say we will "make room" but honestly, how?
That is the point...it won't happen and should not happen. TJ has committed to the guys who are here and that is how it will and should stay. You "make room" and run someone off in July, what does that tell the other guys who you have been preaching culture to for the last three months? It would make TJ look like a phony.

I have to agree with this...
I want to win this year as much as anyone so it is tempting to "upgrade" a position. Reality is the program has cratered due to years of attrition and needs a sound foundation to build from now. TJ hand picked this roster other than the hand full of players from last years team to set his vision I can see him wanting to disrupt the early chemistry right now. I have bought into the long game as the right move.
In reality if W's in above all else in year 1 was TJ's focus Bolton would nave been retained. Rasir would have been just as impactful as any of these late transfers not to mention had desire/ties to be at ISU.

(All that said I would celebrate a Cofi/Carr add for obvious reasons too :p )

Wow....someone is going to get awful lucky for leaving a scholarship open. Obanor was impressive.
