Duh!
Different schools of thought on coaches offices. Saban is at the end end of the spectrum.

Not sure if there is a definitive answer on this, but will there be the Jack Trice Stripe sculpture on the north end of the new entryway plaza? I hope so! I saw it on some renderings, but not others.
I agree! It would be very unique and very fitting, but I'm worried it's not part of the real plan.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the North Entrance. In this case they have the Jack Trice stripes and raised grass beds. I really like both. I also like the black walkway inside the concrete pathways. I'm assuming they are not doing the black walkway since they now have a concrete path running right through it.

I feel like having a lavish HC office is a good investment. Not for the coach himself, but every single recruit that comes on an OV has a meeting there. Guessing having a fancy office isn’t Campbells thing but it may be worth doing anyway.

It's not letting me post the screen shot I just took, but I just watched the beginning of that video and around the 20 second mark it starts to zoom in on the front of the SPC and you see a structure that is black and red off to the left and outside of the fence around the stadium. Obviously there does not appear to be any structure in that area so I am curious what that was in the video or what they were considering at one time?

Do you mean between the SPC and the west ramp? I believe someone posted awhile back that that will be a "garage" for the video/press trucks. IIRC, he posted a screenshot of it from the video.

Anyone know what they're trenching up the center of the NW ramp this morning? Is it big enough for some sort of drain pipe? Would they even use pipe for drainage there? Or, is it just conduit for wiring or something like that?

I don't think they are trenching (plus if they are trenching after putting in the rock base course, somebody needs to do a lot better job coordinating). Looks like they are putting in the edge forms for pouring one half of the ramp.

I'm curious if the walkway around to the west entrance will be gone, and the only access to the west side of the stadium will be thru the north or south gates. Anybody know for sure?

Don't know for sure, but son who took the tour last week told me he thought it would be blocked from the North; it was our "A" route to our seats. He said he thought the ramp was wider than the old pathway by the Olsen, so maybe they would be faster getting people up the NW ramp! He said he thought the west gate would be accessible from the South, but we tailgate in the North, as do most!

Edit: Think suite people might come in there from the South, and I've seen a lot of "Smokers" run down the steps for a smoke at halftime along the Majors practice field fence. Being a reformed smoker, I'd now rather watch the band and grab a coke. :D
I didn't think there was much room between the SPC and the outer fence of the stadium, to walk around to the west gate. It has always been our gate to go in but we always went down the ramp when leaving. We'll find out in a couple of months.

Yes. Now that you mention it I do remember some comment about a garage but I just hadn't noticed on any videos previously. I guess I don't remember seeing the screenshot but I think you answered my question.

It is crazy how that entire west side looks different. Currently, no fence along the stadium perimeter but I am guessing it will begin to go up again next week. Trees are gone and a new concrete walkway (or road) goes right over where the trees used to be. It looks like they might be working on the pads where the TV trucks plugin as well but I cannot tell for sure. It is going to be really tight getting through from the SPC on game day and I am guessing it will be closed off from the north.

One thing that could work one day is a parking structure from the Reiman Plaza to the end of the parking area next to the practice fields. Not only would it add parking, but it would also add quality parking to the gardens, the Sukup club and provide cover for the storage and working areas of the gardens. High rollers could pretty much exit vehicles and walk right into the stadium with such a structure. connected to the SW concourse. Granted, there are greater priorities, sometimes, there are dollars for parking and campus infrastructure that you have to use up. Perhaps this could be that opportunity?

That's all currently handicap parking so I can't see that happening.

They could still occupy the bottom of the structure on game day- not sure why they couldn't. Would actually be more space if you took out the thin strip of green space in between the two lots in the SW corner

Except the people in the S1 (handicapped) and S2 (suites) lots also like to tailgate just like everyone else. A parking structure would more or less put an end to that.
