WWE WrestleMania 37 Weekend Thread

Both world title matches absolutely delivered.

Cesaro is such a great worker. I wish he had anything resembling a personality.

I haven't watched in awhile, didn't know Lashley was getting pushed that hard let alone the champ and retaining against those two. I must have missed a lot.

I think part of the reason why they broke up the Hurt Business was because the crowd was giving face reactions when they wanted him to be a heel (particularly when he took the title off Miz). In a lot of ways Lashley's 2021 parallels Drew McIntyre's 2020 - with the exception he's done it as a heel. And honestly - Lashley has always deserved this kind of run in WWE. It'll probably be the only kind of run like this that he has, but it's been well deserved IMO.

I haven't really cared much for Cesaro, but he is a really good wrestler.

This week busted open had Renee (Young) Paquette on for an interview which was pretty entertaining. I then checked out her new podcast (Oral Sessions). So far I listened to her first one which was with Moxley of course and then I listened to the Miz one. It's a pretty good listen.

I know I should have created a new thread by now, I just haven't cared. Anyway...

It's a few days old now, but WWE let go of Velveteen Dream. For those that aren't aware, he's been accused of "grooming" underage children, and hasn't been on television since I think late 2020, partly because of this, partly because of his back injury. It's been said that the back injury was severe enough where it potentially derailed his career, but the "grooming" accusations have certainly killed it.

And just a few years ago this was the guy that John Cena and Shawn Michaels labeled the next great WWE superstar.

His out of ring issues and injury did him in, but he was another case of a guy who just killed it in NXT and couldn't get over on the main roster.

He never had a main roster career - he never officially got out of NXT. Or if he did technically did get out of NXT, the heat on him was too great to do anything with.

Love that Mox now comes out to Wild Thing version from Major League. Moxley and Eddie Kingston vs Young Bucks for AEW Tag Titles.

Young Bucks retain in a match that quite frankly was BS because of AEW's lack of following rules in the ring. Tag match where both Bucks were in the ring at the same time for half the match. It's was a standard regular tag match. There was no free for all stipulation.

Archer passes out to Miro.

Shida vs Britt Baker I hope AEW finally gives Britt this title. She has worked her butt off. I guess on a wwe twitter account they played a clip of Baker's one appearance in WWE where she got squashed by Nia Jax.
