Not trying to be funny. "Be well" is a great phrase that I've taken from Royce and used for all the best that Royce had in mind. Just a general way of saying "hope things go well for you."
Yea I would hope he would think about that decision really hard. Fran and his family can’t even handle their own mental issues.

He was never going to Iowa in high school. Left them on his final list for political reasons but it was no secret his family didn't like the McCaffrey family
Feel for the kid. I'm glad he's come out and is doing something about it. I've often thought about how hard college sports would be for these kids, especially if you have an underlying mental health struggles. The inherent stressors of moving to a new community and balancing school, athletics and your life are enough. The pressure involved in major college sports would take it over the top.
Not to mention a lot of these high level kids have been on the road playing their sport for most of their childhood already. I expect there is tons of burnout even before they get to college.

Pretty sure the same was said multiple times about THT as well. Everyone chooses their own path.
If anyone said that about THT's decision to leave early.... they had no idea what they were talking about. I don't remember anyone saying it.
THT was listed as a top 10 pick on almost every draft board...... where is Carton projected?
