'22 Combo Guard Eli King Commits

Those of you who follow these things closer than I, how is this kid as a shooter? Is he more of a rim attacker? I'd kind of prefer a big 3-point threat since it seems that we'll need a bit more of that.

(Caledonia trivia: In a freshman football game against Caledonia, a deflected pass fell right into my arms. I dropped it. Mike Rose I ain't).

I know someone who made crow jerkey as kind of a joke. I didn't try it but I guess it was awful.

Looks like more of a rim attacker defender from his highlights. Plays really really fast, and looks to get others involved offensively.

Just so I am clear on my understanding of this, the University of Iowa has had arguably two of their best back-to-back years in program history, and yet two of their biggest recruiting prospects have chose Iowa State over Iowa, after what is arguably two of the worst back to back years for Iowa State in program history?

Interested to see how well his injury is healing. He hasn't played ball since late last year it sounds like. It sounds like Lipsey made a full recovery, and his was ACL. From what I've heard meniscus isn't as serious.

I believe you are correct that after the University of Iowa had arguably two of their best back-to-back years in program history, two of their biggest recruiting prospects chose Iowa State over Iowa, after what were arguably two of the worst back to back years for Iowa State in program history.

I have learned that these recruiting wins don't mean a lot until they translate to wins on the court, but I'll be damned if this hasn't pulled me back from the brink regarding ISU basketball. I have been a rabid fan for a looong time, and this was the first year that watching games felt like a chore or obligation. Hilton Magic is on its way back and Otz appears to be the prestidigitator behind it.
