How was your day?

Can't you just let a little magic into your life?

I, for one, would prefer to live in a world where bobcats are a constant threat to suburban homeowners. That man in the video, how do you think he felt after picking up 17 lbs of snarling hate and yeeting it across his lawn?

Scared? Sure. Possibly infected with rabies? Yeah. But also, he felt more alive than he had in years. I'll bet as soon as their lacerations heal, that couple is going to get intimate on a level that they haven't since their wedding night. Don't take that away from them.
That was his daughter, so I hope nothing intimate happening. First thing I asked was why is she screaming and telling her dad to run but carrying it in an animal container? Then opening it to attack her dad.

I think that there is a housecat or little dog in the carrier. You can see the bobcat come running in from across the street before the attack.

Saw this on Twitter and the poster claimed the cat had been killed and tested positive for rabies. It was Twitter, so unsure of the reliability, but rabies would make sense for a mid-day attack on a human

Good spot! Right at the very beginning, left side of the video.

I have no idea where this video took place, but it feels like Oklahoma. It goes from Brownies to Bobcat to gunplay in a very short amount of time, and that feels right on the money for the Sooner State.

Animal abuse is a felony in 49 states (not Iowa - write your congressman).

Strongly believe this is a cat, not a bobcat.

Exhibit A-- Who picks up a hissing strange cat? Almost no one. You know who picks up a hissing spitting BOBCAT? Absolutely no one.

Exhibit B -- Note how the jogging lady in red comes back, looking to corral it? It's a pet they were trying to get back. If it was a wild bobcat they would have ran in the house and hid.

Lastly, if your neighbor picked up your cat (or small dog) and tossed it across the yard, what would your response be? Even given that the animal was hissing, spitting (or barking)?

Edited post after rewatching the video per Janny.

Note how the kid and dad tried to corral the thing after they threw it? It's a pet they were trying to get back. If it was a wild bobcat they would have ran in the house and hid, certainly the parents would have protected the kid.

It seems obvious to me that they were taking their cat to the vet, it got out of the crate, he caught it, got mad/scared/scratched, and then threw it as far as he could. That's violent and abusive, although I suppose you could argue the frightened cat provoked him.
You are wrong.

You can see the cat/bobcat? run across the street. You can also see the woman stop and look back around the front of the car like "wtf is that?" Also, I think the lady on the sidewalk sees it and is running from it and the guy waves because he can't see it. IDK, it could be real. Either way, it's funny. Sometimes cats just need chucked.

People are always so confident when they're wrong.

The animal did not get out of the crate. You can see it crossing the road right after the guy says "Good morning.". Whether or not it's actually a bobcat is debatable, but it was definitely an angry animal. Also, it's not a kid. It's his wife. He calls her his wife.

You're right. I didn't see that. Will edit post.

The lady in red shirt is his wife? Look like she is jogging by; I thought the lady in grey with the crate was his wife.

I don't think its a bobcat at all, and its likely a neighbors cat. Angry or not, throwing someones cat like that is totally unnecessary.

Looks like a bobcat to me. Stubby tail. Long legs. I wouldn't have tossed it either. I would've shot it.

You sure the cage lady is his wife? I swear I heard a dad in there. Also, my best evidence is, if it was his wife, when the guy caught it, the wife would probably have swung the cage repeatedly at the animal and missed each time but hitting the husband, accidentally or intentionally unknown.

He says "A bobcat attacked my wife" at the end of the video. The cage lady is the only woman in the video who was attacked, so logic seems to dictate that that's who he was referring to.

If it was a better cat it would have landed on it's feet :jimlad:

Maybe she said Danny? Or maybe she calls him Daddy when talking to her dog or cat or whatever was in the crate. Or maybe she just calls him Daddy in general. ;)
