Future MBB non conference schedules

Maui was great. The small gym helps with the atmosphere, but wish it was a little bigger. Tickets were tough to get.

Maui again??? That seems like a weird selection considering how bad the program has been.
Not by 2024. We will be rolling and competing for conference championships by then.
i went to Maui in 2018 and had many Hawaiians tell us ISU traveled as well as any team they’d ever had attend. I’m sure that played a huge part in the events decision to invite ISU for 2024. They don’t care if we’re good or bad, they wants fans in the seats, hotels and restaurants
WeBeGudByeThen

And I have to think this will be good for recruiting! What recruit wouldn't want to go to Hawaii?

Also made the trip to Maui in2018 it was well worth it hopefully will be going back in 2024.

Will the team get actual hotel rooms in Maui this go around... or will they have to sleep in the lobby/conference room again???

Only thing I found on teams in the Orlando Invite so far is Iona

Agree, Iona is all I've found, too.

I checked Blogging the Bracket (site lists it by date)

Link to Orlando Invitational site doesn't seem to have an update of teams, but I didn't look around for long.

Bring on Pitino! Has Iowa State ever faced him before? I know we didn't play him at Louisville and don't remember Kentucky either unless it was the NCAA tourney back in the 90s.

Portland local here. The PK Nike event will be top-notch if its anything like the last two they've held. The Moda Center is an awesome venue (Trailblazers Arena) and the city of Portland is a great/affordable trip especially if you're into craft beer, wine and gourmet donuts.
Lots of great restaurants too!

Pretty sure we faced Kentucky in the tournament and lost 102-96 or something like that. One hell of a game.

Edit- it was 106-98

Hopefully, but my understanding is they pick based on how good the program presently is, not some projection 3 years from now.

If I remember correctly we got Maui the first time because of the 5 straight NCAA tourneys we had been to with Fred and Prohm. Its usually a pretty exclusive invite so I just thought the timing was weird.
Fact check: “We got Maui the first time…”. False
The 2018 invite was Iowa State’s second time at the Maui Invitational. The 1990 tournament was the first time.
