WVU transfer Tykee Smith

In previous posts, I’ve already stated Altman was a pipe dream. That’s who I wanted ISU to hire. It was before I had received any information from those within the university. Go back and check the time stamps on when I said Otz would be hired and when it was announced.
Altman would have been a Grand Slam! We settled for a bunt single.

I'm not saying he is, but there has been stuff from a Couch Burner board that he was somewhat of a cancer. We could have dodged a bullet on this one in my opinion.

Safety and corner is just stacked already anyway: Anthony Johnson, Tayvon Kyle and Datrone are a great starting group at corner. Best big 12 tandem of safeties in Isheem, Eisworth, and whoever plays the third spot

My guess is Craig McDonald wins that job but could also go to the villanova guy
Datrone is great? I dunno about that.

I thought he started out the year pretty awful, but then really redeemed himself and was playing pretty good football from the wvu game through the bowl game against oregon.

A guy I have questions on is Tampa. If he isn't a natural corner i'd love to see him possibly moved to WR, but that's why i'm a message board football expert

Eh, I think he ads more value as a CB. 6'2 CB's don't grow on trees, especially ones as athletic as he is. I think his ceiling is higher at CB.

I believe Tampa will be the starter at the 2nd CB spot by big 12 play. From what I understand his only problem is he needs to get better with open field tackling.

It’s defiantly a double edge sword. Winning cures all. The Pats managed to tame Randy Moss. To and extent the Eagles tamed TO but that seemed to implode after the Super Bowl loss.

Does CMC have the culture in place to take on a guy like this? Does having friends here already help? Or does that help him divide the locker room?

Personally I think it’s worth the risk and we should go all in to make the playoffs this year.

I agree with this. He has the makings of a really special shutdown corner down the road with his size and athleticism.

Interesting that you take some vague comments, and immediately equate to Moss and Owens. We all have zero idea what actually happened, and what kind of “a guy like this” is.

Apparently an All-American caliber player the team doesn’t want anymore. Must be a high character guy right?

With the senior group we have, if he tried to divide the team, I doubt he would be a member of the team very long.
More jumping to conclusions based on vague comments. Sweet.

If he was

I seem to recall that the Texans wanted to hold onto their QB.

Penn State didn’t want to hold onto Isheem Young. That seems to have worked out okay for both us and the young man.

Reminiscent of some other threads about other young men on here where all it takes is one person to drop something alluding to someone being a bad teammate or similar and it becomes a known fact apparently.
