Before a ship enters the canal an employee of the Canal Authority has to board the ship and helps the captain navigate the ship for the entire passage. Will be interesting to see the fall out from this accident.So what happens now? Was the Captain relieved of his duties? Or was it not his fault? Do they just continue on their way like nothing happened? Do other ships wave at them or flip them off as they pass by? I need more closure...

So the ship was also going Dutch?Canal is open to traffic. I'd guess the ship will have to be inspected before continuing to it's Dutch destination
