Tough Truths

Does anyone remember the 2 teams we actually beat this year? I don't. Been that kind of year I guess.

The tale of the tape on Steve Prohm:
--Back to back 20 loss seasons
--25 straight road losses (last road win was over 2 years ago
--18-53 record in the B12 the last four years
--Owner of two of the worst three losses in Hilton Coliseum history
--First power conference coach to lose to Florida A&M
It's time. He's got to go. Worst coach in Iowa State history.

It's hard to say. I would like to think it would be the Monday after the B12 tourney, but if you want to interview any coaches that are in the tourney, what good does it do? So, i'm leaning to the Tuesday or Wednesday after the opening rounds of the tournament. A lot of teams will have been eliminated and it would give Prohm time to do his "year end" talks with everyone. Just my thoughts though

I had forgotten that Pollard was on the NCAA Selection Committee. I recall last year when he was on Chris Williams KXNO show that Jamie was in NY when the Big 12 Tournament was cancelled.

If the process works similar this year, then I think the most likely time Steve is let go will be the Tuesday/Wednesday after the Big 12 Tournament.

I haven't listened to many coach/player interviews the last few weeks to pick up on coach/player attitudes. But I think the best thing for the players is to let Steve be their coach in KC. Let them finish this trying season as a team.

In normal years, Most interviews in college coaching searches take place at the final four.

At least we're making history, though. I mean, if you're gonna suck, may as well make it historic. In 20 years we'll all be like, "Hey guys, remember 2021, when we were so bad Texas Tech played their student manager against us?" It's something we'll all tell our grandkids about. Someone call Raygun about their next t-shirts: "We survived Prohm 2021"

I completely agree with this! Unless something drastic comes up (i.e. a big scandal), I don't see JP ever firing a coach before a season is over, just doesn't seem his style -> which I totally respect.
