I'm not convinced Pollard is cutting Prohm after this year anyway.
I'd take Devries in a heartbeat but I thought he could have used his timeouts a little better when it was obvious his offense was out of sync. They had a horrible shot in regulation for the win then two straight shot-clock violations in OT.

Some coaches just prefer to let them play through it I guess.

Hard pass on Devries, he had 2 timeouts left and a floundering offense and he just them play on instead of setting up a play.
Yet, he still won the game without his leading scorer. If you base our coaching search on timeout usage, we are in trouble. Devries would be a great hire. If we don't grab him, some other P5 team will.

It will cost home more to keep him than it would to fire him at this point.
I saw someone in here estimate it would cost 15-20 million to make a coaching change considering buyouts at ISU and at another school plus all the assistants etc. I have no idea what basketball revenue is, but that would take a lot of years to make up would be my guess

You'll need to find that data to make that story stick.

Not exactly sure.

What does his buyout decrease per year? 1.5MM? Was thinking that for some reason. That would mean the break even ticket area would be about 8k besides estimating student tickets. If the buyout decreases more for waiting a year the ticket number decreases. If the buyout decreases less then JP would have to feel confident that he could sell more than 8k.

As long as he’s not calling them after made baskets from his team that would be refreshing.

It will cost a whole lot when a few thousand fans don’t renew next year and drop their donation.
