Do we know how many episodes in this then? Seems after episode 6 that there’s a lot of stuff going on to wrap up neatly in one season

3 more episodes. This sets up DR. S 2 and leads into Falcon and the Winter Soldier. There is like 8 more MCU project coming out in 2021 after that. Fiege is making up for lost time with the Pandemic

I wonder how Dr. Strange 2 will be. To me, the first one was by FAR the worst MCU movie. Although I thought he was great in IW.

I wouldn't count on much, if anything really leads into Falcon and the Winter Soldier, beings how that series was originally supposed to come out before Wandavision. It was due to Covid production delays on that series that made them switch. On a different chronological note, it's interesting to also note Spider-man: Far From Home takes place after Wandavision.

Thor has yet another new haircut in the next movie, described as 80s glam metal.

I didn’t mean a continuation of the story, just that almost every week in 2021 will have new MCU

Jan/Feb/March: Wandavision
March/April: Falcon and the Winter Soldier
May 7: Black Widow
May/June: Loki
July 9: Shang-Chi

After that it’s more of a guess

July/August: What if?
September/October: Ms. Marvel
November 5: Eternals
Nov/Dec: Hawkeye
December 17: Spider-Man 3

How would you know that? Aside from taking place after Endgame, they never really stated when Wandavision was happening did they? If her story really is going to have such a huge impact, I think it would have to come after so all the other shows will reference it.

They’ve referenced the date when Rambo comes back to Sword and Wanda get Vision’s body. The show is about 3 weeks post blip while Far From Home is a couple months after the blip

Yeah, this is how you know. Wandavisions is weeks after Endgame, whereas Far From Home is months.

I guess far from home was pretty self contained but I wonder what long term ramifications will come from this show or if Dr Strange just retcons it with the time stone. I hope they don’t use time travel anymore

Well, the Time stone is in the past. Dr. Strange doesn’t have it anymore. There is also a line about Strange in Far From Home where he is “unavailable” according to alien Fury. I assume Fury is talking about WandaVision

Oh so basically all of the MCU stones are destroyed by Thanos since cap returned them right?

They are back where they originally were. Except Thanos is dead in both worlds and no longer a threat to acquire them.

Couldn't agree more. It makes me hopeful that X-Men are "relegated" to Disney+. The stories and sheer number of mutants are better suited for TV, rather than trying to cram a narrative (like Dark Phoenix) in a single movie.

I think that’s a good take. They can really build things in a series that they can’t in film. Not to mention, money for cast and effects aren’t an issue like they used to be.

I honestly think this is the case for a lot of these big franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, etc. Theyve built these large sandboxes to play in, and its hard for movies alone to really do any of them justice.

All i want now is more long-form series. Like the 20 episode seasons we used to see.

So when will we get the first trailer for Shang-Chi? I think it's a safe bet that it will be in front of Black Widow, but that's only 2 months until it releases in theaters to hype up the next MCU-installment. Do you think we'll get a trailer/tease at the end of WandaVision or The Falcon & The Winter Soldier?

I have no doubt that WandaVision is going to have an after-credits scene (anyone else stuck through the credits for each episode so far this season?), and I'm trying to think what it will tease? Dr. Strange 2 (which is currently filming) is an option and we know Scarlet Witch appears in that film, but there are 3 other MCU films coming out before that movie. Another tease that would make sense to me is getting our first look at The Eternals. That film has a lot riding on it just due to the size of the cast and was originally supposed to launch in theaters around the same time WandaVision would premier on Disney+ had COVID not impacted shooting schedules.

So I've listened to the Binge Mode podcast since the beginning (where they recapped GoT) and I've been huge fans of theirs since. They are currently recapping all of the Marvel movies. I just finished their second part on Endgame today, bringing the total podcast time just talking about Endgame to 5 hours. Literally. It's really fun to relive them though and Jason is a huge comics fan and they provide a lot of comics background on a lot of the stories. I'm having a ball. It's very irreverent and but they have a great time and there is a ton of NSFW jokes and stuff so I'd recommend not listening with the kiddos around but if you're interested in the deepest of dives into the MCU it's been fun.
