2021 Stock Market

Brass balls.

One of my former employers was part of a super duper big bank failure back in '08.

Still playing catch up. A little diversification isn't a bad thing.
Yeah most board execs sell stock as soon as they can not because they dont believe in their company, but just to diversify.

That's ridiculous. It's about making money. Full stop.

If it's about principle you'll get destroyed.

You haven't been paying attention to the history of our species if you think populist revolts are about calmly forming and executing a plan to achieve discreet, attainable goals. That's not what this is about.

For the people you're trying to destroy, it's all about money. They don't care about principle.

That's the idea. They have setup a system that basically skims money off average people. Use the ways you have to make their backdoor systems a negative for them and they will adjust them if they are hurt enough. That is the principle. If you just follow along, you are allowing them to bend you over even more.

i'm going to play devils advocate for a second.

the market has gone up about 6-8% per year for 100 years. if you invest in a broad fund how are you getting screwed?

I understand the principle, and agree with the idea, but IMO it's just not worth giving up on potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity to make crazy money.

Hedge funds are not broad funds. period. they use massive amounts of capital to manipulate the market in their favor, create runs and sell at the right time.

Mutual funds etc are not hedge funds.

Seriously? Have you not read up and learned about all the after session trading, spread trading, and other things that sucks a percent or two here and there from that? You pay a disclosed amount to trade or do whatever you want with the stock, but besides the fees they talk about, they will have undisclosed hits that cost you.

RH is about to lose millions of users just as they are trying to go public. **** them all!
Yeah RH is going to screw themselves over and I feel like this will just make the reddit people re-double their efforts once things get going again.
