You need atleast 2 guys available that can handle 20 carries/game. So you really need 3 if not 4 of those guys going in.
Surprised that Lang left, unless he assumed that Kene was coming back. Hate getting so thin at a position. Did the same thing at QB last year, where it was two true freshman and a couple walkons. Seems like we are going to be okay, but then again Purdy made it through the whole season without getting hurt. Dekkers seemed to be fine, but hard to tell when he only played in mop up duty against bad teams.

I think that he can be an option. He's probably never going to be an every down back, but he should be able to handle a few carries and motion to the slot at times. If Deuce Vaughn can get 10-15 carries a game at KSU, Silas should be able to handle 2-5 at ISU if needed. Silas is at least the same size if not bigger.
yeah they should have at least 4. Even if they bring in a Freshman they should probably either get another one or bring in a transfer

One of the under-reported accomplishments of this coaching staff is keeping the RB room under control, especially when really good guys are getting only very limited roles on the field.
In my "played through 6th grade" football experience opinion, I think he is an option if needed.
Even if he mostly gets receptions. But no reason he can’t get a few rushes too. Motion him in and out of the slot.
Alright, you all convinced me, Salis could be a viable option in the backfield. Let's hope we get Sanders allowing Salis to be the best M we've seen on Campbell's rosters.

Yea. Deon Silas got an offer from TCU, they have been fairly good evaluators at RB over the years.
I would like to see a percentage of carries next year something to the effect of 85% Breece Hall, 10% plus Jihreh Brock (we still do not know what we have with him by the way, needs more game carries), maybe a handful for Silas but that's it
The only year this staff had more than one guy average 10 carries per game was their first when Warren, Lanning and Montgomery all got over 120 carries, that's deceiving bc Warren was phased out by the end of the year. Since then, we haven't had a second guy average more than 5 carries per game. I think Brock could change that but who knows, Kene only carried the ball 60 times this year and we all know he's legit. Breece carried the ball more this season than Kene and Lang combined for their entire careers. I'm not totally convinced it will be a two back system.

Lol obviously Hall will be the featured back. Brock will get more carries as he was starting to see the field more, and the other guys(minus hall) are gone. Hall won’t get 100% of the carries, but Brock isn’t getting 50% either.
The question is depth, because worst case scenario is injury(or two). That’s why we need a commitment(likely Sanders), and a grad transfer probably isn’t as likely, since we have one of the best RB’s in the nation, and a very talented backup already.
