Without divulging too much, I found out I was exposed on a Wednesday via news reports on Friday and contacted my supervisor. Had no symptoms and the risk of transmission was super low social distancing and masks in play. Still was advised to get tested. Contacted health provider who said they wanted to test me Saturday even though I didn’t meet guidelines due to exposure time and how many confirmed people I was exposed to. Took test and Saturday night developed a cough but thought it was psychosomatic so nbd. Wife agreed and Sunday morning got negative result. Sunday night fever started and Monday sore throat. Contacted provider who said I could retest for 72 hours but they wanted me to retest, still felt like a cold so nbd. Told bosses who told be likely just a cold but continue to observe symptoms and telework as able (was exposed at work). Wednesday morning get positive test and lose smell and taste. Very short of breath on stairs and taking dog out but feeling back to normal by Sunday. Sunday night pop a 104 fever that takes about three hours to go down with Tylenol, MIL is nurse and we are talking with her about going to hospital. Fever remains around 100-101 for next five days with Tylenol. Then start feeling better. Took about two months to feel 100%. Wife and I decided that because of the negative test and not quarantining she probably has it so what’s the point of doing it now. She got tested 2x first Friday and second Friday both negative, never had symptoms.
