100% correct, but I do know it's in poor taste to discuss his ability to help our team in the spring.

How is discussing his ability to help this spring poor taste? If you were to neglect his feelings and say he should or shouldn't play, that would be in poor taste but speculating on what he could bring to the team is not poor taste.

Cal has brought this on himself. I think the fact that he sells Kentucky as an audition for the NBA, has a lot of the kids thinking not about team but about themselves and how they can get the NBA after one year.

That's a bit harsh. A player being upset with his performance/role/loss and acting out could happen to any one one-n-done prospect or 4 year starter. I don't think we should say it is due to Cal recruiting one-n-done players bringing in some type of toxic enviroment. He's done it for 20 years and we havn't seen this type of thing every year.

This is the kind of thing that can happen though with how he sells the program, and it is also why they haven't achieved the level they probably should have under him. Probably the most underachieving coach in the country relative to talent.

I don't know why, but this whole Cal thing really ****** me off. When you read Cal's quote you'd think the kid went on some big rant on social media, or walked off the floor or something. He was in tears because he wasn't playing. That's just a natural reaction to being upset. He then very quickly thereafter sends out a nice apology.

My god, the kid is what, 17? And you very publicly criticize him and make him be away form the team because he was crying?

Cal can't handle that his team sucks despite being full of talent so he tries to creates this angle to divert attention. I hate that guy. I hope other teams can use this as an example of him not giving a **** about anyone who can't help him win right now.

That was later, that is what caused Cal to take the action he did.

Rumor has it, he went on a rant at the airport about Cal. Not sure if accurate or not. The uk board is good entertainment right now. Their fans are brutal.
Fwiw i would take that kid in Ames regardless of what goes down in Kentucky.
