be really hard to get a GT acclimated and playing for us a week before games are set to start, but I guess the thought would be if they are any good they can come back next year for another year if they like

iirc, prohm recruited him hard when he left Pitt

Prohm recruited him hard out of HS too. The kid is a deadly shooter and averaged 19.5 ppg this psst season. I hope Prohm reaches out again. Parker would be one of the better players on the transfer market this season. I think he has some PG skills too. He would be the perfect replacement for JCL next season. He shot 42% from 3 his freshman year in ACC Games.

i wonder if ISU is at an advantage having a scholarship available for him to join the team now? I can't imagine a ton of HM programs have an extra scholarship. Since UT-Martin has not played a game yet and he has graduated, i understand he'd be eligible right away.

I thought you can’t fill open scholarships in the middle of the season?

You can if you have one open I thought. If you are thinking of McKay/Burton, we didn't have open one so they came in the Spring semester and paid their own way until one opened up for the next year. Then sat out Fall semester for the 1 year sitout and played Spring.

If a school has a scholarship and the player has graduated - then they can join the team at semester and be immediately eligible.
DePaul did this last year with DJ Williams

If eligible in the spring semester I would think ISU would be in a good position due to prior relationship and having a spot there can only be so many schools in this particualar position, especially since he'd need to commit and submit the application in the next 2-3 weeks.
He would add experience and shooting to this roster though getting yet anohter player integrated this late has it's obvious drawbacks. Prohm's intrest may be driven by the early look of the roster and the severity of Tre's injury. Not getting my hopes up but intrigued.

Kid's father died 2 weeks ago. I doubt playing in the spring is a priority.
