I didn’t even comment on it? I think I’m pretty chill right now.

Disappointing that we won't have the opportunity to meet your fan base in Arizona. Hopefully we will have the opportunity for our teams to meet again. Good luck, Ducks!
I was going to humble brag about being ~3,600 miles from Glendale and then see you're in friggin' Norway? Active duty? What are you farming over there? Glacial silt and volcanic pummus? Blondes?

Yeah, this CFB season is really a boondoggle in many ways. But here we are. Looking forward to a great game against ISU. Good luck to your squad as well.

Duck Fans quick question.

What's the quintesential food of Eugene or Oregon? Like if I visit you gotta get the superduper duck burger and beer at this place yada yada. Any famous foods?
From Iowa, but been to Eugene numerous times for business. I always look forward to the fresh seafood.

I watched them play Oregon State and took away 3 things.

1. Duck's defense looked totally gassed starting the 4th quarter. The Beaver RB had over 200 yards. Our guys up front have got to be licking their chops.

2. Duck's passing game looked very legit.

3. The state of Oregon has the best names for their sports teams. Totally badarse.

Ducks: are you guys gonna actually stay healthy enough COVID wise to play or because you guys don’t care as much about the season are gonna get sick and back of this on us? We will be really pissed if you leave us standing at the altar
Hopefully there aren't any issues, but just in case either team does have covid issues...

@cyrocksmypants Dumb comment taken back.

For Duck fans;

ISU is pretty much a run first team, and that mostly involves Hall, who is as good as advertised. Purdy can also run, but most of his running yards are when the pocket breaks down. Honestly I feel like the Cyclones do not run the naked bootleg near enough to keep defenses honest. Most sell out completely to stop Hall. Purdy can be very good as long as he is not trying to do too much. He has had games where he has been outstanding. The Big 12 championship was not one of them. Kohler is a great TE, the other two are very good. WRs have been pretty spotty outside of Hutchinson. Milton is a guy that has been hurt most of the year, but he might be 100% for the bowl game. OL is better than we expected, but not great. They are missing a couple of good guys, and no one is saying anything about their status at this point.

On defense the Clones are very solid, but not really flashy. Don't expect ISU to be in tight man coverage and trying to jump routes. Pass rush is usually 3 guys, and they can get pressure if you have a weak link in your OL. McDonald is a guy to watch when he gets in. Guy is a terror off of the edge and gets held most of the time. Rose is all over the field, but the LBers are pretty solid as a unit. DBs are decent, and the safeties make a lot of plays in the run game.

I'm surprised any Cyclone is pleased with this opponent. Getting to that bowl is great. But Oregon is a horrible opponent. There's nothing to be gained with victory, but much lost with defeat. That's my point.

Any Top 20 opponent would have been better. #11 Indiana or #14 Northwestern best. The Fiesta is now in the "who cares?" category because of the bad match. ISU deserved better.

Victory makes us Fiesta Bowl champs. I don’t give a **** who we play

You and I have watched two very different Ducks passing attacks.

Any Cyclone fan who watched only the Oregon v. Oregon State game would definitely be licking their chops in anticipation of the Fiesta.

Your points above are legit. The blue collar lunch pail three star Beaver OL absolutely manhandled Oregon's D line in that game. After a solid first three games I began to wonder if the team had been snowed under by weed and xBox. But it also could have been schematic. Oregon runs a base 3-3-5 on defense and there just weren't enough bodies on the D line to clog the gaps.

While USC's run game is admittedly pretty bad, Oregon demolished USC OL in the PAC12 champ game. I only watched the game live but it looked like Oregon ran much more of a base 4-3 and regularly blitzed a 5th. 38 yards rushing IIRC and Slovis often looked like a deer in the headlights.

In summation, if you want to feel better about the Cyclones chances in the Fiesta watch the Oregon State or Cal games. On the other hand, if you want to bite your fingernails watch the USC game.

Cliff Clavin fun fact: The Oregon football team was originally named the Webfoots. This is not a reference to winged meat that quacks but rather to the loggers who floated rafts of logs down the river to the mills.

Yeah I'm actually watching the USC game right now. They are a completely different team than the one I watched play Oregon State. The Fiesta will be a good game.

Thanks for "eh... little know fact" Cliff. The name just got better.

The Pacific NW is known for it's seafood. Typically Salmon a veggie and a salad. However, we have an abundant variety of food available. Dungeness crab is great and my favorite when I'm tired of crab and salmon is sturgeon. Love sturgeon!!
When I'm out camping nothing is better than a little native rainbow trout in a skillet over a camp fire.

Of course all of those go very well with a very nice Oregon Pinot Noir.
