Briles to Tech?...

I remember the game under Rhoads where Briles and Baylor beat Iowa State 73-14.

It was 71-7 in 2013. But I don't blame you for your memory not being good for that game. Nobody wants to remember that. I was there, so it's hard to forget...

We actually had 5 games that we lost by a score or less, in addition to our 3 wins that season.

I didn't dive deep into it but I think TTU hired a private law firm to look at the Baylor case and give a report on Briles involvement. The problem is, he was bringing in known abusers. I mean, even if he was somehow unaware of all the coverup stuff (he obviously was) he was letting these guys come to campus.

The guy shouldn't ever see the sideline again, but he will, just like a bunch of coaches at PSU, LSU, and MSU. We have elevated sports beyond where they should actually be in society.
Shawn Oakman would like a word

Stop reminding me. I was on the sidelines for that one.

I was at a cousin's wedding reception and would go down to the bar to check the score couldn't believe how bad we got beat in that game.

This is a program that fired Mike Leach. What he did was far less than what Briles did, not sure how you could make this hire if you are Tech.

Lubbock is in the middle of nowhere, pretty much New Mexico and not close to Dallas, San Antonio, or Houston. How would you like to have the conversation with your wife that we are moving the family to Lubbock? I mean at least Waco is in the middle of all those cities.
Lubbock, like so many similar mid-sized Texas cities, is the essence of the real Texas culture. Location is secondary to lifestyle. Victoria, Tyler, Wichita Falls, Amarillo, Waco, Abilene, Midland-Odessa...the real Texas. They all have 3 things in common: high school football, Dairy Queen, and an OU recruiter.
