ESPN Radio Shakeup

Aside from live events, I haven’t watched/listened to ESPN forever. The only recommendations I would have is to drop Will Cain completely and find a way to get more Jalen Rose, that guy is awesome.

Personally, I’m good with KXNO as far as radio goes and for the national/big market in general, I’m sure many will disagree, I’m an Undisputed with Skip and Shannon guy. Sharpe is hilarious and I know people hate Bayless but they work well together. I couldn’t handle Skip back in the ESPN days with Stephen A. My only complaint is the amount of coverage Dak/Cowboys gets but I guess that’s just about everywhere.
Will Cain is done. I believe he left to be a weekend host on Fox News. Starts in August. I don't think he's doing sports anymore.

He was all Dak/Zeke all the time last summer and during the NFL season.

One thing to remember about TV and radio - the audience drives the bus. As much as people complain about ESPN talking Lebron or Cowherd talking Cowboys, that's what the national audience wants and that's where the ratings come from. If he talked Dak all day and his ratings stunk - he'd move on.

This seemed more and more likely. Intrigued to see where he goes and the $$$ that comes with it.

Wherever Le Batard ends up, it will only work if he's allowed to be the smartest guy in the room.

I saw that this morning. Not sure where he'll end up, but wherever it is, he'll bring a lot of fans with him.

I enjoyed listening to Mark “Stink” Schlereth and Joel Klatt when they were in the radio in Denver. Joel’s college football analysis and overall sports knowledge were great. Stink was good for telling it how it was.

Sports radio is simply going extinct.
in Denver, Nate Kreckman is the best in my book for keeping it entertaining in a Lebatard manner.

I liked Nate too. Big Al didn’t bother me much, but listening to D-Mac made me want to drive into a light pole. That guy is awful in just about every sense of the word.

LeBatard has to be heading to a Dan Patrick/Rich Eisen type set up though I don't know if late afternoon fits him very well...

I agree on DMac. I actually had dinner with him and a group once. decent guy off the air, but I cant listen to him. His wife once won big on the Price is Right.

ESPN just keeps getting worse and worse..... unbelievable.

Getting rid of Lebatard and putting all their chips in on guys like Greeny, who is absolutely horrible. Greeny is such a d-bag too as a human being.

Several years ago they allowed Lebatard and Stugotz, etc to call the college football National Championship on like ESPNU or something and it was awesome! Most entertained I've been watching a college football game ever.

But evidently, there's not enough people out there that like to be entertained instead of just listening to boring, dull, cliche announcers.

Speaking of when Lebatard and Stugotz called the National Championship game, does anyone know of any youtube channels where more entertaining (and funny) people announce college or pro football games?

Completely agree. Commentators have gotten too far into the minutia of explaining plays and strategies. I just want to watch the game. Having a non-serious crew is so much better.

ESPN is simply getting out of anything risky or political. They want to be a serious news network for sports. Someday they may find out that people watch sports for entertainment and watch the news for information.

They have done their own streams, so you watch the game live and then you use them for their commentary. They have done the national championship, one of the NBA all star contests. All pretty enjoyable, it was like watching the game with them.
