Iowa State is favored by nine over Kansas State

I expect that we get a lead, then play loose defense and let K State back in, then get a lead, then let them back in. Game will come down to the last possession. We couldn't put Baylor away, no reason to believe we can with K State. But then that's just my guess, not willing to put money on it.

Kstate will cover. ISU will win. Hope I'm wrong and we beat them like a drum but KSU vs. ISU is usually not a game that ISU dominates.

They are just like playing the Hawks. Physical, always in the right place, don't make mistakes. Probably not the most talented guys, but no one is quitting when they get down a couple scores.

K-State could bring their practice squad to Ames and I'd expect it to be close late in the 4th quarter.

Having said that, I think we'll win 24-21. But no way we cover 9 points.

Two trends I don't like here. ISUs recent history against K-State and the tendency of Campbells teams to fade down the stretch. Let's hope we can overcome these and kick their butts, but I certainly wouldn't bet on it.

And KSUs special teams tend to be solid
